Overall GC Category Winners – Mixed 👫

Congratulations to our mixed podium — this year proved that racing with your real-life partner might just be the winning formula ♥️.

Mixed Duo Winners 🥇 | 12:12:56
• Bianca Haw
• Wade Young

Undeniably dominant, Bianca and Wade won every stage and secured the overall victory in style. Even a crash on the final day couldn’t shake them. Well done to the South African champs 🇿🇦!

Runners-Up 🥈| 12:49:01
• Mude Rodriguez
• Oscar Pujol

Our 2024 defending champions had to settle for second place this year. Stage 2 was a tight fight, but the ever-smiling Spanish duo adds a silver medal to their collection for 2025 😁.

Third Place | 13:50:44
• Danila Fumero
• Roberto Barreros Huertos

The Italian–Spanish couple showed huge heart all week, proving once again that age is just a number✌️. Their hard-fought third place was challenged by young local talents Violette & Eli, who impressed everyone with a second-place finish on the final stage.

Congrats, everyone! 👏

Overall GC Category Winners – Female

Women’s Duo Winners | 13:34:14
• Elodie Kuijper
• Martha Ntakirutimana

With only a small women’s field this year, we hope Martha — defending local champion — and Dutch pro Elodie will help change that, leading by example for the editions to come.

The pair grew into the race together and delivered huge efforts throughout the week.

Elodie’s favourite stages👀?

Stage 4 — the highest XCO she has ever completed (quite literally).
Day 5, the final stage, had everything she loves: flowing singletrack, village trails, smooth gravel, and big climbs with big rewards 🗻.

For Elodie, Rwandan Epic was also defined by the incredible atmosphere among the riders. Tough at times, yes — but with a sense of reward waiting at every finish line 😄.

Overall GC Category Winners – Male

With three different stage winners, we’ve been on the edge of our seats watching this competition unfold. Congratulations to our podium — featuring riders from four different nations 🇩🇪🇳🇱🇰🇪🇿🇲.

Men’s Duo Winners 🥇| 10:03:41
• Daniel Gathof
• Bart Classens

Our 2023 defending champions did it again. Their teamwork and Rwandan experience paid off, winning the three longest stages and taking home the overall trophy.

Runners-Up 🥈 | 10:16:18
• Lukas Baum
• Dan Kiptala

With a 10-year age gap between the former European Champion and the young Kenyan talent, we’re seriously impressed by their dynamic. Their dominant XCO stage victory put them back into overall GC contention on the final day, but they ultimately had to settle for second place.

Third Place 🥉 | 10:38:47
• Levy Pyele
• Ernest Mazabuka

All the Zambian riders from the Kansanhi Cycling Team made a strong impression in their first appearance, but the standouts were FQM Copper Kings 1 — Levy & Ernest.
Don’t be fooled: third place was hotly contested by Louis & Banzi, but the Zambians fought hard to secure the final podium spot.

Congrats, guys! 🥳

Nobody said it was easy.

With a crash (all riders are okay) and punctures early on, our final stage brought drama early on😱.

Our riders left it all out there in the morning drizzle and blistering heat in the valley, climbing towards the final finish line🥳.

Enjoy these first impressions, more updates & finishers’ reactions to come!
