A contingent of 464 Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) personnel serving under the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) receives medals of recognition for its contribution to maintaining security and protecting civilians.

The troops are recognized for their efforts in conducting security patrols, providing medical services, combating gender-based violence, and supporting communities in need of humanitarian assistance.
