🌍 INTERNATIONAL NGO DAY CELEBRATION MESSAGE

On this special occasion of the International Day of NGOs, we proudly celebrate the journey and impact of Gorilla Handball Club (GHC).

Founded in 2012, and strengthened in its structured mission since 2021, Gorilla Handball Club was established with a clear purpose: to help children from low-income families gain access to education through sport — especially handball. For 14 years, we have remained committed to transforming young lives by combining education, discipline, mentorship, and athletic development.

As we mark this important day, we reaffirm our dedication to contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with special emphasis on:

SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being

SDG 4 – Quality Education

SDG 5 – Gender Equality

SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation

Through handball and community engagement, we promote healthy lifestyles, equal opportunities for girls and boys, access to education, and awareness of hygiene and sanitation within our communities.

Today, we celebrate not only our years of service but also the resilience of the children, the dedication of our coaches, the trust of parents, and the support of partners who believe in our mission.

Together, we continue to build stronger communities — one child, one classroom, and one handball session at a time.

Happy International NGO Day!
Transforming Lives Through Education and Sport.

Community Handball Development in Action! 🤾‍♂️🤾‍♀️

On Sunday, the 8th, 2026, Gorillas Handball Club Technical Director, Mr. Anaclet Bagirishya, paid a visit to GS Mwendo to observe and assess the children’s training sessions.

The visit also aimed at evaluating the effective use of the new Multipurpose Playground, which brings together Handball, Volleyball, and Basketball, creating more opportunities for young talents to grow through sport.

Beyond the technical aspect, Mr. Bagirishya took time to interact with the children, sharing his personal journey in handball and highlighting key values such as discipline, teamwork, commitment, and respect—essential foundations for any future handball player.

A truly inspiring moment for the next generation of athletes fully supported by We'll Never Play Alone St. Pauli
