Looking back at the excitement! Our esteemed AFN President Chief Tonobok Okowa joined the National Sports Commission (NSC) for a landmark Press Conference at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. Held in partnership with World Athletics, the event unveiled the roadmap for the World Athletics Africa Running Conference - Lagos 2026.
The conference featured NSC Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko, Director-General Hon. Bukola Olopade, and World Athletics Head of Road Running Alessio Punzi, alongside key stakeholders including NOC 1st Vice-President Chief Solomon Ogba and Yusuf Ali, CEO of the Elite Athletes Development and Podlum Board. Hon. Bukola Olopade highlighted the eventβs focus on harnessing Nigeriaβs long-distance and road-running potential, setting the stage for the Lagos City Marathon 2026.
