Floorball Federation Solomon Islands

The Solomon Islands Men's National Floorball Team has begun its historic journey to the International Floorball Federation (IFF) 3v3 World Floorball Championship in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Spain, from June 12–14.

The six-player squad departed the country on Monday and will join Swedish-born player Adam Olofsson, head coach Rainer Martiskin and assistant coach Anders Olofsson in Spain.

Speaking to TTSSI from Sweden, Floorball Federation of Solomon Islands President Adam Olofsson described the team's participation as a major milestone for the sport in the country.

Drawn in Group B, Solomon Islands will face defending champions Latvia, Ukraine, Iceland and Côte d’Ivoire. The team has also arranged warm-up matches against Thailand and Brazil ahead of the championship.
