Solomon Islands U23 3x3 Squad Off to New Caledonia – Nations League Cup 🇸🇧

The Solomon Islands U23 3x3 Basketball Squad is finally on their way to New Caledonia to compete in the Oceania Nations League Cup.

First and foremost, the Solomon Islands Basketball Federation (SIBF) extends their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands (NOCSI) for their support through Solidarity. NOCSI contribution in this area continues to open doors and create opportunities for Solomon Islands young athletes to represent their country on the international stage.

SIBF extends special thanks to long-time supporter of basketball for sponsoring the National Jersey for the U23 team, Adkonect for the professional printing of the national jerseys, and SIBF Board Member Debbie Sade for providing the Solomon Islands team T-shirts. These types of support come in many forms, and together have made an impact and ensured our young team travels.
To our wider basketball community—thank you for standing behind us.

Solomon Islands Women Leading the Way! 🇸🇧

Proud moment for our basketball community as Loremarose and Winnie represent the Solomon Islands through the Women in Leadership Basketball (WiLead) program.

These two outstanding leaders have been actively driving impact through the Basketball 4 Good initiative, using game‑based social messaging to bring about positive social change within our schools and communities.

Both Loremarose and Winnie are current national players who share deep roots in the game.

🏀 Loremarose contributes as a bench official, a dedicated volunteer with the Basketball 4 Good program, and a member of our emerging referees pathway.

🏀 Winnie proudly serves as a Basketball 4 Good coach and recently completed the WABC Level 1 Coaching Course, strengthening her leadership on and off the court.

Their participation in the WiLead program will help more women and girls step confidently into basketball and beyond.

Keep leading, keep inspiring, and keep pushing boundaries.

Through game‑based activities, students are learning teamwork, respect, and how to create safe spaces for everyone.

The social‑messaging component is fully integrated into each session, helping young people understand the importance of treating others fairly — both on and off the court

The Basketball 4 Good program is funded by | Australian High Commission, Solomon Islands, through Team Up.
