SEER PATHWAY 🔥

Five sessions - one powerful journey!

Last night, we had our final session of the Seer Pathway and today I’m feeling so grateful for every person who showed up, leaned in, and gave everything a go (see pic of some participants)!

We covered a lot from how seeing impacts our effectiveness in the world to how much the Bible invites us into seeing to those topics that take us so much deeper.

And well done to everyone who was ‘seeing’ more easily by the end!

It is so great to be with like-minded hearts to share insight, growth and make connections. Thank you for being adventurous and hungry. This is just the beginning🤩

Join me in celebrating the release of my friend’s latest CD, ‘In God’s Hand’! Nicola Gerrard is a stunning flautist and now releasing her 5th CD. This time there’s a wonderful mix of songs she has written herself interspersed with pieces by Bach. Nicola and I were students together at the Royal Northern so it’s wonderful to see all she has stepped into in subsequent years - I am not surprised:)

Baroque flute is a major love for Nicola so the Bach portion will be as beautiful and skilful as ever. And as she is the most prophetic flautist I know, expect to be moved, healed and undone as you listen to her own compositions as well. (Sneak insight - it’s the first recording where she plays harp too so listen out!)

Nicola CONGRATULATIONS - it just keeps getting better:)

I LOVE MY BIBLE!

On a recent holiday to Ireland, my luggage never made it for 10 days. That meant no lenses, no glasses, no laptop, no Makeup, no clothes…

But when I got over my panic (all my writing and talks are on my laptop - Yikes!) I realised I could get by with just a few purchases - pair of jeans, PJ’s, contact lenses.

But by far the biggest loss was my Bible. Yes, I could read stuff online but there is nothing like the joy of my well worn, well thumbed, page turning that leaks my history Bible to fuel my soul. Slightly shocked if I’m honest to discover how little of the Bible I know from memory too…

Now reunited with it, I’m loving the fresh fuel on the only journey that really matters. Jeremiah, one of the Bible’s writers, totally gets me when he says

Your words were found, and I ate them,
Your word was to me the joy
And delight of my heart

Jeremiah 15:16

You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.” – Michael Jordan

This quote got me thinking this week. Michael Jordan didn’t just play what was in front of him - he pushed beyond.

And that totally applies in the kingdom of God because it’s limitless.

So when I open the Bible, I’m not looking to read the familiar. I’m knocking on heaven ‘s door asking, “What haven’t we seen yet?”

I’ve always loved the Bible outliers who pursued more of God - Elisha, the Centurion, countless others.

And that’s the petrol fuelling my material for Seer’s Pathway. We’ll be looking to go beyond what we know.

Can’t wait!

Seer Pathway – 4 April – 5 May.

Back in London I’ve joined a new gym. 👟

Because of my slow walking people always seem surprised to see me there! But when I train I know I gain. And if I don’t everything gets weaker. So it’s really not an option.

Last week something from the gym really stayed with me. A very fit young man approached me saying he had been watching me train, impressed. Not at my ability (!) but at my persistence. At my not making excuses not to be there.

First he didn’t need to come over and tell me that which was sweet.

But more than that, it reminded me that we can show up in life. We can do what we can do. We can take the next step on the day we have.

Because we all have something we’re dealing with. Visible or not.

But we also all have a choice — to keep going, to keep trying, to not give up on ourselves.

So this is your reminder (and mine)… keep showing up. Even if it’s not perfect. Even if it’s slower than you’d like.

👉 What’s one thing you’re not giving up on today? Let me know below.

At Aldwych theatre this week to see Shadowlands with my gorgeous friends Leah and Lily! It’s the new play about CS Lewis’s love story. How love and marriage came to this titan of a thinker and writer only to be painfully short-lived with his wife’s death.

As a play it ticked all the boxes. Powerfully crafted, actors bringing their A-game, and gripping from beginning to end.

Yet the message that impacted me most was a simple one.

I don’t say easy, but simple.

To truly live is to love – love requires risk – and risk may bring pain. Even writing that I need to take a deep breath – it sounds scary…

But if we choose not to love, can we really say we’re living?

I think not.
We need to live wild and adventurous! So I’m resolving not to play it safe, miss the treasure and live on mute.

I’m resolving to be brave and dive in TO LIVE A CHARGED LIFE! Funny how just an evening at the theatre can wake something up?

Let me know in the comments what’s woken you up recently!
