💥Commodores family - Summer League 23 💥

We’re happy to welcome Ben as our new head coach for this season 🇦🇺📝
Ben is a familiar face. He joined the Commodores family last year as an amazing player. Wishing him all the best for this new challenge 💪

Last weekend we have been in France 🇫🇷 playing a 2 days tournament. On Saturday we had a great start, played 5 games with 4 wins and 1 lost qualifying directly to semifinals. On Sunday we won the semis and then unfortunately lost the finals ending up with the 2nd place. We aren't really happy about the final result but we had an amazing weekend with the commodores family, loads of laughs, fun moments, basketball, and much more.
Next weekend Summer league starts and we are ready for it 💪

We haven't been very active on social media, sorry about that, we've been busy building a new team. Yes, unfortunately covid hit us hard and 6 players moved back home, Tizi, D, Clement, Edu, Marco, and Louis + Fede is on father's duties taking good care of Giulio, the future capitano. Also our assistant coach Pablo left London at least for now.
Luckily we managed to make great additions to the team. Pedro and Alex (were already training with us), Larry, Ben, Trian, Guy, Nick, Edo, Jose, Dennis, have joined us during the last season. The old boys (Rob, Luc, Theo, Ale, Paul, Baldo, and coach Nehuen) held up the team whilst the team rebuilt was going on.
And just in an eye-blink time another season went through.
We started the season with 4 defeats and the last spot of the league.
We finally managed to get 3 wins in a row in order to finish the first phase with 3-6 at the 8th spot and even 3-7 after the first game of the return phase.
Since January we’ve been undefeated with 7 wins in a row to finish 4th of the regular season with 10-7 and make it to the playoffs.
We played LABAS in semi, the number one team. We lost 86-75 despite a good come back in the second half.
In the end we finished 3rd of the league after our final win against Viesulas.
It’s a great result for us considering our bad start of the season and more than half of the players are new and played their first season with the Commodores.
We are stronger than ever and training for a tournament in France starting on 25/06, Summer league during July and August and a new season from October one. Let's go Commodores 💪🏀

London Commodores are recruiting players for all positions to compete in the season 2021-2022.
Unfortunately, the pandemic made us lost many players due to relocation, but the team spirit and family essence still intact.
