Father & Son Weekend: A coaching and bonding experience focusing on camping adventures, personal development, nutrition, fitness, and accountability for fathers and sons.

26/07/2026

If live in Ibiza and you’ve always wanted to learn how to fight, but the idea of walking into a martial arts gym has always put you off, this might be for you.

Maybe you feel too old to start.

Too unfit.

Too awkward.

Or you simply don’t want to be the worst person in a room full of people who already know what they’re doing.

I’m 45, nearly 46. I’ve been training and coaching for years, made plenty of mistakes along the way, and worked with both complete beginners and experienced people.

I understand how intimidating that first step can feel.

I have just two places for a private 12-week beginner programme at my place in the north of the island.

We’ll train one-to-one in person, and you’ll also have specific work to complete between sessions.

Proper old school.

We’ll build solid foundations in both stand-up and ground fighting, combining kickboxing, boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to give you a well-rounded introduction.

The aim is to help you move through that difficult stage where everything feels unfamiliar and awkward.

So that, if you later decide to join a regular martial arts gym, you won’t be starting completely from zero. You’ll understand the basics, feel more capable and be much more comfortable in the environment.

If this is something you’ve been putting off for years, this could be the right time to begin.

Apply below to see if we are a good fit.

Two places only.

2 years ago I finished UTMB.

One of the hardest races on earth.

At the time I thought that version of me was permanent.

The truth is… fitness leaves quietly.

Not in one big dramatic moment.

Just a few skipped sessions.
A few late nights.
A bit less discipline.
A bit more comfort.

Then one day you realise you don’t feel like yourself anymore.

That’s the part nobody talks about.

Not the physical decline.

The loss of sharpness.
The loss of edge.

I’m starting to understand that staying in shape isn’t the hard part.

Keeping your edge through normal life is.

And rebuilding it after you lose it might be the real work.

But honestly?

That part feels exciting again.

Let’s go.

5 years ago I got my brown belt in BJJ.

I was running ultras. Training hard. Felt dangerous.

Then life slowly drifted.

Less movement.
More comfort.
Less edge.

Somewhere along the way I let that version of myself drift.

I’m 5kg down now and building him back again.

Honestly?

Doing it at 45 means more than it did the first time.

First fire of 23/24 season.

First time tent is up this year.

Me and my boy home camping.

We both made the fire with a Swedish fire rod.

Tomorrow is school Friday and football practice but we’ll camp out tonight anyway.

Best season of the year.

Becoming a finisher of the utmb has been on my life goals list for a few years now.

Early September I was to fortunate enough to cross that finish line.

It took me 46 hours. 171 km and 10k meters ascent on a course that circumnavigates the Mont Blanc Massif in the alps.

I slept for 10 minutes and stopped for an hour total.

Slower than what I wanted, suffered more than what I wanted.

Utmb, you almost broke me. Only now, a full month after I’m I starting to enjoy running again.

Finisher VDA 100 miles Val d’aran by utmb with 10.200m ascent. A lot of discomfort for a long time. Almost no flats, just steep never ending climbs and worst descents. All in one piece, a few blisters and a bit tired and happy to have finished. 🙏🏼 🙏🏼

Perspective is a a funny thing. Because this was the shortest of two races I had signed up for this summer, I assumed it would be easy. I was so wrong! 50k in was not easy. Going up those steep climbs and downhill on those leg destroying descents almost broke me. 11hrs to finish 50k with 3600m ascent. Next week some more.
