It Sure Feels Good To Feel Good 💯
It’s natural in the winter months to re-evaluate where we are at in life and to look ahead at where we are headed! The dark early mornings followed by the darker evenings can really put a damper on things and can distort our views of ourselves and our visions of what we want to accomplish.
Especially towards the end of the year I always allocate time towards reviewing my clients progress and ironing out a plan to set and achieve some exciting new goals and challenges, it keeps things fun and engaging for the clients aswell as adds some zest to their morale and motivation!
I’ve felt a great sense of happiness from seeing those who’ve overcome the trials and tribulations that lockdowns attributed to the decline of mental and physical health in many people. A real highlight for me this year has been to help clients improve both physical fitness and mental health during and after Covid lockdowns, training clients virtually (online) and in person has really felt like a beacon of light for everyone Involved.
Witnessing people becoming stronger, achieving new personal bests on their weightlifting, hitting aesthetic goals, feeling more confident, running new half marathon and marathon PBs, rehabbing people who suffer from chronic pain and discomfort to a point where they are completely pain free and living their lives to the fullest doing activities that they haven’t dared do for years if ever and finally seeing families come together with parents getting there children involved with workouts from home has all put a smile on my face and makes me realise that I’m truly blessed to be doing my passion as a “job”.
For those who want to aim to achieve something new and exciting or to feel energised for family and friends then please drop me a message on Facebook messenger!
I love being part of the journey and seeing people evolve.
Thanks,
Sean

Choosing A Road Less Travelled Can Make All The Difference!
Clients often say to me how choosing personal training with me has changed their lives! Initially what starts out as just wanting to burn off a layer of fat or building some impressive looking pecs turns into a discovery of self, a realisation of physical capabilities, building resilience and mental toughness, understanding patience and constructing relationships built around trust.
From personal experience choosing the path of fitness and a healthy lifestyle was a paradigm shift, I went from being a shy, skinny kid who lacked confidence and didn’t feel comfortable being myself to someone less shy, happy with being me and owning what I do and how I do it. I’ve made lifelong friendships and have an incredible little family as a result.
Fitness and training never came easy to me, never was a natural athlete or the best at sports but I did have one thing, I was and still am stubborn. Making a choice to take a direction in doing something and to follow it through to the end despite having bad days and tough times is what ultimately gets us to achieving the goals we set ourselves.
We all want to feel good and happy within our bodies but sometimes life can overwhelm us and we can find ourselves prioritising other things which is entirely understandable however in doing this we can result in neglecting our own wellbeing!
Training ultimately isn’t really about body image, even though media would suggest a different narrative. It’s about boosting your energy levels, improving cardiovascular fitness, becoming stronger and as a result of this we feel better within ourselves and make physical improvements that can also as a result enhance our bodies.
It’s never too late to make that choice to becoming fitter, joining a gym, changing your dietary choices, having a personal trainer! You may learn more about yourself than you ever imagined and find a new lease of life.
Feel free to send me a message with any enquires, I’d be more than happy to help you get started on your journey or give you some advice.
Here’s to healthier and happy days ahead.

Troubleshoot your 2020✅
It’s a new year, a new decade and for lots of you it’s a fresh new beginning. We all want to make changes to make our lives better and a lot of us put huge expectations on ourselves to do extravagant things!
Most commonly it’s to get fitter and to lead a healthier lifestyle. This is great and brilliant for all of us health professionals as we are surrounded by such ambition and enthusiasm towards training!
However there is a flip side to this as many of us take on extreme crash diets that are not sustainable and begin training regimens that are very intense considering they’ve gone from total beginners to wanting to do 4-5 full throttle workouts per week! Just like anything else training is addictive and although some exercise is good for us, too much can also be bad.
We all want to be in this for the longhaul, let’s get fit and stay fit for life not just for summer. The process doesn’t have to be hard, the diet doesn’t have to be restrictive. Let’s enjoy the process, here’s a few tips you can follow to make and save more money, eat healthier and to train for longevity.
1) Meal Prep, you can prepare your weekly food on the weekend. Choose only healthy foods that you can graze on during the week. This will save you tons of ££££ along with saving time waiting in supermarket cues.
2) Train your mind equally to your body! Here are a couple of books I’ve recently come across that are incredibly helpful in regards to business development they are the following : Surrounded By Idiots by Thomas Erickson and The Innovators Dilemma by Clayton M Christensen.
3) Protect your mental health and overall wellbeing by taking necessary breaks. I take every weekend off now and my life has improved so much. Having that escape or separation from intense work is key for preserving your energy and happiness as well as having creative space to plan your next steps.
4) Get advice from a Personal Trainer to plan your workouts so you can train safely and effectively as well as to keep you motivated and interested along the way.
5) Socialise and network, your circle is not going to grow on it’s own! You have to get yourself out there, whether if it’s going to events or reaching out with your services to other people! You have lots to offer go and share it with the world.
It’s all the small things that add up. Give these a go and I wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year 2020👍👍

Quick Results Vs Sustainable Results
We live in a world where we want everything immediately, instant gratification for our actions. With quick fixes like 6 weeks to 6 pack abs and 30 day plans for your amazing, Kim Kardashian Glute Gainer 🍑, Arnie Pec Pumping Promises and the Van Damn how did my legs get so swole workouts😂. Ok well I’m just having some fun with this but you get the idea!
As a Personal Trainer with almost 9 years experience in the fitness industry I’ve had countless people come to me wanting instant results from dropping 2 dress sizes in 3 weeks to gaining 10lbs of muscle in 10 weeks. The harsh reality is that fitness and your health is a choice that you make for life and your body is constantly going through changes, as you get older your body and health should become a bigger priority.
I can and will promise all of my clients results and they will and do come, with a sustained commitment to healthier eating habits which is more effective than crash dieting/ calorie restricted diets (in the long term) along with periodised training programmes as apposed to sole destroying 2xs a day intense training which is almost impossible to sustain. Sustainable training which has progressions in exercises and intensity along with adequate rest and recovery periods will allow changes to take place and you will see your body take shape.
The achievement is in the journey that you take to achieve your goals, working through set backs and busy work schedules or just challenges life throws at us. Real coaching isn’t just quick, scrappy solutions and taping things together until they fall apart again. It’s building something strong and special from the ground up that lasts for life.
As long as your making small consistent progress you will achieve if not exceed your ultimate goal. Just remember this is not an over night thing! Be fit for life not just the summer ☀️😅💪

Why Weight Training Is Good For You Women!
There is a lot of stigma attached to weight training from some women, I hear far too often comments like “I don’t want to get too big” or “I don’t want to bulk up”I can categorically say that this is a myth you will not turn into She Hulk! The female bodybuilders that you see on magazines look the way they do because of a deliberate and strategic strategy which includes supplements, a training programme specifically aimed at building muscle and sometimes years of prep to look the way they do! Not to mention the extreme dieting and the use of performance enhancing drugs sometimes. However things are beginning to change and more woman are gaining the confidence to take on strength training and lifting weights as part of their gym routines.
Here’s a rundown of the benefits of weight training.
1) Reduce Body Fat: By increasing your body’s lean muscle you are also increasing your metabolism, with a higher metabolism you will burn more calories all day long and will actually continue to burn calories for at least 24 hours after training.
2) Improves Your Posture: If done correctly with the right balance of exercising muscles equally or focusing on the posterior muscles (back muscles) and core strengthening, this will make you stand taller with your shoulders back and your chest up. You will project more confidence when you enter a room.
3) More Athletic and Injury Prevention: Again weight training has to be done correctly and under supervision especially if your a beginner, to get the required effects from training. Strong joints, ligaments, and tendons are important in preventing injury and can relieve pain from issues like osteoarthritis. Stronger tendons and ligaments means more power output for your chosen sport making you faster and more conditioned.
4) Look and Feel Great: A Body with improved muscle tone and strong muscles will make you feel great! Fitting into clothes better will give you more options on what to wear and the confidence to wear them. Seeing yourself progress on the weights that you are lifting and learning new techniques will also give you a sense of great achievement.
Here’s a photo of myself training with my client Anett (Superwoman) who is making great progress. We combine weight training with cardio and dynamic exercises that challenge balance and coordination and we also do boxing. Anett is a great example of how including some weight training into your exercise can help to improve your physique without getting bulky.
Go Lift! 👍😅💯

What are you doing with your time?
All we have is time, use it wisely and stay focused on where you want to be and who you choose to spend it with. “Set your life on fire 🔥 seek those who fan your flames” Rumi.
Prepare your days in advance to gain a clear picture of the tasks you have ahead of you. Plan your workouts so that they are structured and show progression in weights and exercises(If any of you need help with training programs I can make one for you). Seek out new adventures and take on different challenges.
I believe that our purpose is to contribute to the happiness of others. If you can’t figure out your purpose... figure out your passion then go from there!
I was blessed to be photographed by Neil McCrae on a cold winters morning in the heart of Covent Garden. Thanks for your time 🙂
