Exciting new things are happening, and one of those is my move from here to a new name and tribe: SHIFT - training for movement.
SHIFT aims to deliver training that looks across your health and fitness requirements.
Whether you're looking to take on a more effective training programme, make better use of your current gym membership, competing in a sporting event, or returning from injury or pregnancy
the objective is to prepare you for optimum performance.
There will be lots of exciting developments with SHIFT through 2015.

Back to back Pilates classes today with some dynamic flow movements thrown in with a more elderly group this morning.
Most in their 70s and 80s, and they rocked it!

Sport Star Sunday
Katarina Johnson-Thompson won gold in the pentathlon at the European Indoor Championships yesterday, with a new British 800m record.
She seen here performing part of the Teaser series. Core control, hip flexor strength and stability in the shoulders with no tension through the neck..
We like the Teaser.

Sport Star Sunday: Alessia Gennari of Team Italy Volleyball, seen here in action against Brazil.
There's a lot going on here, but the key is perfect balance as she spikes, with her spine in absolutely perfect neutral - abdominals and back extensors working in synergy. The hip hinge is exact with good lateral rotation at the hip to give her pelvis space. The core strength gives her shoulders and arms strong foundation to strike/ spike the ball.
Exercise is akin to Frog on the reformer or a Squat with lateral rotation with a weight in front of her.

Sports Star Sunday: It's Michael 'Air' Jordan of course in perfect flight....
He's in a explosive spilt lunge position with power from his ankles, knees and hips stabilised from his pelvis and core. His arms are travelling diagonally to slam the ball with power and precision coming from his obliques and shoulder stability. His timing and coordination coming from a well drilled neuromuscular system.
In all of this blur of movement, his spine is in absolute neutral.
Check the guys attempting to block his shot. Spines also neutral and simulating Swimming positions with vertical extension of arms without compromising position, showing good flexibility of the shoulder girdle and posterior chain.
Strong cores all round... We like!
