Old photo from 2015, when 1000 m chairlift (built in 1975) still was running. The chairlift was removed in 2017. There are plans of a replacing t-bar lift. And probably also a replacing cable car/gondola

A very windy week - but a lot of fresh snow. When skitouring to the top, you are always rewarded with a nice ride down the hill

Skiiers are towed the last 150 height meters to the top of mount Åreskutan. The View, waffels and paragliders are three nice reasons to visit the Top #1420

The Cable Car, Åre Kabinbana, was built 1974-1975. Opened 6:th of May 1976. Has soon been running for 50 years. There are plans to remove it and replace it by a gondola in a few years #
