At Jinenkan Hiryū Dōjō we practice Jissen Kobudō, a traditional Japanese martial art, containig unarmed as well as armed combat.
The dōjō is led by Leif Angestam (Ryūun), Jissen Kobudō Nanadan (7 dan) and Jinen Ryū Menkyo Kaiden (full license). Jinenkan Hiryu Dojo är en av få officiella dojo (träningshall) i Europa och för närvarande den enda i Skandinavien. Hiryu Dojo betyder ungefär 'den flygande drakens träningsplats'. Innebörden av vårt namn Hiryu är att vi siktar på att utveckla rörelser som är lätta och snabba som en

On February 18, 2026, three kobudoka of Hiryū Dōjō successfully completed their gradings, advancing to 5th kyū (orange belt) and 6th kyū (yellow belt).

Good day, almost five hours of keiko. Felt good to train with partners again! Next time for me is either in five or seven months, so I thoroughly enjoyed today.

The founders of Hiryū Dōjō, Manaka sensei and Leif sensei.
