Match Recap — Two Hard-Fought Wins! 🖤💛
What a day on court for Ravens Sports Club! Two challenging matches, two wins, and so many lessons and moments of teamwork to take with us. 🔥
Game 1 Alingsås
Player of the Game chosen: #8 Lei Margate
We started off a little slow, losing the first set 20–25. But once we found our rhythm and warmed up, we came back strong and took the second set 25–17.
The third set was a close one, but we fell short by just a few points. From there, we knew we had to stay focused and keep pushing. We started the fourth set strong, with the mindset of taking the lead, maintaining it, and fighting for every point— and we did just that, winning 25–17.
The 5th set was tight as our opponents found their momentum again, but we stayed composed, trusted each other and held on until the very end. We won the final point and took the match!
Game 2 Göteborg
Player of the Game chosen: #11 Aurora Wngqvst
The second match was just as tough. It was not an easy game, and every single point was earned through effort from the whole team. We applied more strategies, adjusted our back-row defense and continued to adapt throughout the match.
Every mistake became a lesson, and every communication on the court helped us create the next point. 🗣️🏐
Across both matches, every effort was recognized— from strong defense and blocks, to sets, attacks and everything in between. We’ve also been getting more of our players involved at the net, using blocks as an additional layer of defense this season. 💪
Our biggest highlights from these matches were teamwork, communication and patience..We stayed together, adjusted when things weren’t working and kept fighting for every ball.
We can’t wait to play more, learn more, do more and try even harder in our upcoming matches!
