Stepping into a new season.
I’ve always loved things that are well-made and that stand the test of time if you take care of them. The time you invest in maintaining them comes back as satisfaction when you use them.

I got these shoes from my parents when I was 14. I did a lot of skiing when I was young, and during the winters we went to training camps in Norway. I don’t know much about them, except that they were bought in an old shop that sold local handicrafts. At the time, they had tried to keep up with some youthful trends by giving the shoes a cool name – “Top Spider.” It sounded pretty slick in Sweden and Norway in the 1980s.

So, 43 years ago now, they were purchased, and I’ve been using them ever since. Now spring is on its way here in Sweden, and it’s time to give them some love before storing them for the winter.
