As spontaneous and flexible as I may be, I’ve realized most people need a little more time to plan ahead — check vacation schedules, organize finances, and maybe even invite a friend who’d love to join.
So instead, we’re looking at the last week of April or the first week of May ☀️
After a long season of darkness and cold, we will feel the extra need to meet on beutiful istland for a well deserved yoga retreat.
This also gives you plenty of time to ask questions and feel fully ready 💛

I do not practice yoga to be physically flexible, but mentally steady.
Given that yoga is about the mind and mental ease, stability, strength, peace and stillness is what we strive for.
But how do the poses help us get there? Well they don’t.
On their own, mixed and mashed together, they create a bigger mess than before. Resulting in an inner conflicting emotional environment, mental unsteadiness, restlessness, distorted vision of life and our choices, a constant need for pleasure seeking and escaping.
And if that is the case, how do we get to that sense of wholeness and relaxed homeostasis?

When I started teaching I taught quick flows, occasionally difficult to follow because of the high intensity and pace. But as I grew stronger and more confident in myself after having established a daily meditation practice, my teachings changed.
Not just the rhythm but the space I trust students with and the respect I show them for their practice. I allow them to take the space to pause, to let go of their ego driven ambitions that have mostly only worn them down, and to practice becoming more self reliant.
Ultimately the mirror we look into in our practice allows us to see ways that we are being hard on ourselves in life and gives us the space to practice supporting the needs both our body and mind have.

When I became a yoga teacher, I thought meditation was something I had to do, should do.
