you are again invited to a ceremonial tea circle in october!

You are invited to connect with yourself, the circle and the existence, with support of the tea plant, its energy, and being held in the space of the ceremony.

The core of the time together is the tea ceremony, where we will sit in a meditative space being served and drinking tea. We start with introducing the tea, as well as connecting with our bodies, minds and spirits through movements and sounds. We close with a sharing circle, giving space for putting experiences into words, as well as being heard and listen to each other.

Price: 200-400 SEK. Pay what feels right.

Ceremonial tea-circle at , Gothenburg Sweden, sunday 14/9-2025 10.30-12.30.

What is a tea ceremony?

For me it’s like a long meditation. A space where we can come into stillness, notice what’s present and be aware of what’s changing in each moment. It’s in some way a pause where feelings and sensations, both comfortable and uncomfortable, may arise and become clearer. It’s a time to connect to what’s bigger than us as humans, to connect to ourselves as the observer of our selves, but also to us as nature, us as tea.

For me it’s important in the tea ceremony we invite ceremonial tea, or tea that has been having a good life and journey to where we are today. It’s not as important that it’s tasting as amazing as it can and is brewed for that.. so I’m not serving Gongfu way, but ’Leaves in a bowl’ or ’Sidehandled’.. the for me more meditative approach.

There are many ways and schools of tea ceremony. If you want to dive more into the teachings I’m coming from, and learn more about tea, you could e.g. explore books by Wu De/Aaron Fischer, and . Two of the books I have at home you could see at the photo:’ The way of tea’ and ’Zen and tea, one flavour’. Another favorite is ’Tea medicine’.

Allowing life to unfold… and reminding myself to take it slowly and welcoming in all parts of myself to this moment over and over again.
