SKCC 5, Helsingborg

Another tough race in the books, with temperatures over 30º and lots of rubber it became a real struggle.

Practice: P17 in group

Heat 1: P23-P22
Heat 2: P23-P25 (+5 sec)
Superheat: P18-P18
Final: DNQ

The morning practice felt good, my group was very competitive and the same lap time in the later practice would have put me P14 instead. When we put on new tires for quali we lost the pace again as the grip built up. In the first heat i got a good start and gained a lot of places but then I got out on the dirty stuff later on the first lap and lost them all again.

In Heat 2 the field got very bunched up in the first corner and at the same time i got a big push from behind which resulted in me climbing over another kart and getting airborne, which bent my chassi on the front. I still managed to recover but I was later left no space and got turned into another driver as the cherry on top. We still had some hope left before the superheat as I was in 35th in the points (36 spots in the final), but in the superheat the pace was gone again and I missed out from the final by 1 spot 🫠

Still we take a lot of valuable lessons with us from this weekend and recharge for the Swedish Championship later this summer. Thank you Gokart Helsingborg for the support and everyone else involved.

SKCC 3, Kristianstad

2nd race of the season, with an insanely close field and no room for error

Quali: P25 in group, P38 in total
Heat 1: P19-P23
Heat 2: P19-DNF
Heat 3: P19-P23
Superheat: P30-P21
Final: DNS

The day started off with a really tight qualifying, with only 2 tenths between P30 and P20. Heat 1 was incredibly tough and I had no real chance to move forward, a lot of people treated it like the world championship final 😅. In Heat 2 I managed to hold off my position after the start but on lap 3 my engine seized, a painful pill to swallow considering how close the field was. Heat 3 was a similar story to the first heat which put me in a tough spot for the superheat. I was finally able to show my pace in the superheat and I managed the most positiond gained in my group.

Sadly this was not enough to qualify for the final after the disaster in Heat 2, on a positive note we found a good setup fairly easily. Next stop will be SKCC 5 in Helsingborg 🔜

SKCC 2, Lockarp

2 weeks ago I drove my first race of the season after missing both Klippan Cup and SKCC 1 because I was sick.

Heat 1: P34-P24
Heat 2: P35-P30 🌦(5 second front fairing penalty)
Superheat: P21-P12
Final: P32-P23

Both me and my dad made a big mistake in the qualifying and that meant I was 3kg underweight. Despite this I kept my chin up and fought my way through the heats and in the end I just barely scraped into the final. Halfway through the final an incident between 2 other drivers unfortunatley split me up from the rest of the pack so I had to settle for 23rd place out of 51 starting. Im still happy with the result because of how much I had to fight for it. This weekend its time for SKCC 3 Kristianstad, with a new start and new opportunities.
