“Jag summerar vårsäsongen med väldigt positiva känslor. Vi har stått för många fina prestationer som också gett bra resultat. Att vi dessutom är en i stort sett helt ny grupp som bildades i början av året gör det extra kul – vi har fått ihop ett fantastiskt lag som trivs tillsammans både på och utanför planen.

Att gå på sommaruppehåll efter en stark vår känns fantastiskt. Samtidigt vet vi att det återstår mycket hårt arbete under hösten, och det ser vi verkligen fram emot.

Stort tack för allt stöd från er på läktaren – det betyder otroligt mycket för oss. Vi hoppas att ni fortsätter vara med oss även i höst! 💙❤️🦁”

Att stanna upp och njuta av nuet är viktigt. 💙❤️

I en värld – och en fotbollssäsong – som ibland testar oss, får vi inte glömma att uppskatta resan och det vi har åstadkommit tillsammans.

Vi gick in i sommaruppehållet som serieledare. Det är vi stolta över. Men vi vet också att tabellen i juni inte betyder någonting om vi inte fortsätter göra jobbet varje dag.

Andra halvan av säsongen väntar, och vi vet att den kommer kräva ännu mer av oss. Ödmjukhet, hårt arbete och viljan att utvecklas – tillsammans.

Vi njuter av stunden. Efter uppehållet fortsätter arbetet. 💪🔵🔴

Head coach Charlie Mitchell reflects on his decision to come to Sweden and on the first half of the season 💭

”When I made the decision to come to Sweden and take on my first role as a head coach, it was something I felt incredibly proud of and excited about. From day one, I’ve felt very welcome, and it’s an experience I’ve genuinely enjoyed. It’s an honour to represent a club like Linköping.
It has been a new challenge in every sense — a new country, a new league, and a completely new group. You quickly realise nothing is given. You must build, earn trust, and grow step by step.

Seven months in, we’ve had challenges, learned a lot, and made real progress. With 16 new players and only five remaining, that process has taken time and patience — but the players have committed fully and embraced what it means to represent the club.

The league has been demanding. Every game is different, physical, and competitive. There are no easy matches, and consistency and discipline are key.
We’ve shown glimpses of what we can be but we know there is more to come. We are not the finished article. We know there is still so much work to do, and that’s exactly where our focus stays.

What has stood out to me is the feeling around the club. You sense the history, the recent challenges, and the responsibility to move things forward. The support, home and away, has been incredible — and that has meant a lot to me.

There is still a long way to go, but we see that as part of the journey — an opportunity to grow and become the team we want to be.

The game against Alingsås reflected that. We weren’t good in the first half and allowed the game to become stressful. At half-time, we were honest, made adjustments, and reset. The second half was one of our best — the players showed real character, more control, and played the way we want to. That reaction says a lot about the group.

The focus now is to keep building, stay consistent, and make sure our progress becomes stronger in the second half of the season.”
