The change in seasons has me in a state of flux so I will continue to go with the mantra of embracing change and impermanence for a while longer.

Such a pleasure spending Saturday afternoon with this wonderful, fearless, crazy bunch of people in Pincha Mayurasana Workshop.

Lately my physical practice has been a little different.

Normally my body craves some big Asana practice to feel balanced but lately I've been just wanting chill.

I've been prioritising going on walks with Elsie.

I went to yin once last week and I loved it (for once).

I also did a b*kram (aka he who must not be named) class for the first time in 14 years. The sequence is called 26 & 2 here in Malmö.

Anyway, going to bikram was such an interesting experience. My first introduction to yoga was throguh Bikram when I was very anorexic in my teens. My body was so weak and fragile. I remember going into camel feeling like I was going to snap I half. I hated it passionately and vowed to never practice yoga ever again.

But here I am - a yoga teacher going back in a different body, different mindset doing the same bloody sequence again after 14 years.

I still don't love Bikram.
But I hate it a lot less.
And I love my body a whole lot more.

Yesterday I did a stronger practice for the first time in what felt like ages.

It wasn't the biggest or longest practice but it felt so good to be in my body. A real contrast to a time when I hated being in my body. Bikram was a good reminder.

I haven't done this transition for a looooong time because of an injured wrist but my presses are finally feeling pain free again. Grateful for the natural healing properties of the body. It's magical.

I always think the joy I experience in moving my body is a spiritual experience. Annamaya kosha - where it all begins really.

And that's why I love being upside down. It's joy. It's bliss.

HIPSTER WORKSHOP REMINDER

No, not a training on how to be a hipster. I have 0% experience in this field.

Rather we will be releasing the tension in hips that build up over time. Lots of options will be given to accommodate different
bodies, bone structures.

When? Thursday 4PM CEST.

Where? Online in our Body Positive & Anti-diet tribe. (there will be a notification that I'm live so just click it when you get the bell)

What to bring?
- Bring blocks/books/rolled up towels/cushions for support to learn how you can make your practice your own.
- A good playlist
- A pen and journal if you know you find it hard to stay in these types of postures.... I'll explain how to use.

3 things I love about Malmö:

1) The sunsets.. The most beautiful in the world can be seen at Västra hamnen every. single. evening.

2) People's willingness to wait in a queue even when they don't know what they're waiting for.

3) The awesome yoga family I've found at ... I'm beyond excited and grateful to join this beautiful community. From next week we're bringing some Rocket fun to this part of the world 🚀

Reasons Why I love Online Yoga Programs

Even though life since covid has more or less started to go back to normal in most places, I still love online yoga. Here's a few reasons why:

🎵 You can use your own music (Thanks but I don't want to listen to your dubstep)

👍 Flexibility to do it at your own time (can't make it on time? no stress, no problem)

🧾 You get the accountability of group class energy without the competitiveness

🤪More space to connect more deeply spiritually without chaotic class energy

🔥Better way to grow your self-practice without using the class as a crutch

And most importantly,

💨You can fart a much as you like in Downdog and no one needs to know

Here's a throw back clip of to one of my home-practice during covid.

As far as my practice went, covid was great for my self-practice. I felt super strong, focused and connected.

Ok firstly, let me acknowledge my lack of dancing skills. But you must understand my idea of a good night out is when I get eat noodles under a blanket in my underwear 🍜🍜🍜 and no, I'm also not embarrassed by this.

Secondly, if this doesn't prove I wasn't a dancer before I started practicing yoga, I honestly don't know what will.

Thirdly, Elsie really does love me.

Enjoy the ✨ chaos ✨
