🌟 HUGE NEWS: WORLD CHAMPION
GABRIELA ESCOBAR JOINS MDA! 🇦🇷🏆
We are incredibly excited to welcome Gabriela Escobar from Argentina to Malmö Dansakademi for Autumn Term 2026!
Gabriela is a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher, coach and competition judge with an impressive international career and 3 PROFESSIONAL WORLD CHAMPION TITLES! 🏆🏆🏆
She began dancing in Argentina, training in ballet, urban dance, jazz, stage tango, musical theatre and Salsa. Her Salsa career quickly took her to major international competitions.
In 2015, she placed among the Top 10 couples in the world at World Salsa Open Puerto Rico together with Alejandro Acosta.
She later joined La Identidad Dance Company, one of Argentina’s top dance companies, competing at World Salsa Open Puerto Rico, Euroson Latino World Championship and World Salsa Open Panama, becoming a three-time World Champion.
After working professionally in Vietnam at Sun World Ba Na Hills, Gabriela moved to Sweden in 2024. She now teaches, performs, travels to congresses and runs her own teams. And now she is joining ➖MALMÖ DANSKADEMI ➖ Skånes största dansskola!ch our MDA teams, bringing her international competition experience, technique and performance knowledge directly to our dancers. 🏆

WHAT A NIGHT, MALMÖ! ❤️🔥✨
Yesterday ➖MALMÖ DANSKADEMI ➖ Skånes största dansskola! took over Malmöfestivalen with 10 SHOWS and 45 DANCERS, including several WORLD CHAMPIONS. 🏆🌍🔥
But what made this night so special was seeing our dance family come together. 🩷
A huge THANK YOU to our incredible choreographers, dancers, students, teachers, team, organizers and everyone working behind the scenes. So much time, passion, trust and hard work went into every single performance, and seeing it all come alive on stage made us incredibly proud. 🥹❤️
To every dancer who stepped onto that stage and represented Malmö Dansakademi, thank you for giving your heart, your energy and your love for dance. Watching you perform at this level was something truly special! We have seen you take your first dance steps with us and now you are full blown dancers ✨🤩
And to our audience: THANK YOU. ❤️
So many of our students came just to support, cheer and celebrate each other, and that honestly meant the world to us. Seeing familiar faces in the crowd reminded us that Malmö Dansakademi has become so much more than just a place to take dance classes. It is a community, a family and a place where people grow together both on and off stage. 🫶🏽
After more than 20 years, moments like this are exactly why we keep doing what we do.
