Bränninge Cup has been the start of the show season in Sweden now for many years and on the first Saturday in June - which also celebrated the Swedish National Day and Sarah’s Birthday - we had a fantastic day filled with beautiful horses, wonderful people and the warm, welcoming athmospere the show is known for.
We had the honor of welcoming a great judges team with Scott Benjamin, Mohammed Essam Al-Sahhaf and Tommy Husebye as well as Pekka Pakkonen who judged the amateur and children classes.
The first class for the day entered geldings and it was also the biggest class of the show with 8 entries. The clear winner with impressive 90.17 points was the great moving BR Pas Mal (HLA Cheval x Psychedelic Magic) with Megalo (SF Verify x Menova) on second place with 88.67 points. As there were only one gelding-class BR Pas Mal was named Gold Champion with Megalo as Silver Champion and the Bronze title went to BR Najaad (Tchaata Matisse x Naomi) who was third in the class with 88.17 points. Third place was awarded JAS Nicclas (Nabucco K x Nistraa), shown by Nellie Slättås. We also had a children class where Milea Sandström showed the mare Duchess ISA (Paris x Dixie ISA), a wonderful opportunity for young people to take a step into the show world.
