god is a mother
and with that
sentence
the world stops

the world always stops
when woman and
divine
commingle
as if the
feminine
dilutes the
miraculous
when in reality
it embodies it
when jesus turns water
to wine
they clap
but when women turn breasts
to milk
they cringe
a broken man’s body
is celebrated each sunday
while a broken woman’s body
is just hidden away
and it’s no wonder
that mother is a word
used by men
to demonize those
who don’t claim the name
and weaponized to shame
those who step out of line
because
their ideal
woman
plays the role of nurturer
and silencer
in pews
built and led by them

but
when god
becomes mother
she is neither quiet
or compliant
she leads confidently
she questions authority
she commands respect
which might be the problem
for mother god
did not gather us up
carelessly
but took her time with it
she fed us milk
birthed our souls
and broke her body
and the permanence
can be uncomfortable
and to disentangle god
from motherhood
is impossible
but
to disentangle god
from womanhood
is sinful
because seeing god as mother
is one step closer
to seeing god in me
and it’s in that
i am truly

LIFE LEAVES MARKS

I have been writing an extensive blog about this era we all are living in. Its beauty, pain and meaning were just pouring through me onto the keyboard and screen. After writing for many days, I looked up on the text and decided I will not share it. This is a deeply personal passage we are moving through and I feel that what ever I will say will be too intimate for me to expand into only by writing. It needs to be heard. I am sharing all of it in our virtual meetups. At least for now.

what I will say is that life leaves marks, and so will this. It`s up to us what they will be. It is also up to us to surrender to what they will be. I’m taking a retreat this Thursday to next Monday. From the native people I have learned about the meaning of sacrifice on many levels. They have taught me about the necessity to be humble in my life.
‘The people’ have reminded me of the importance of honouring my elders. They, and others in my life, have made me aware of the damage that arises when one group of people controls, manipulates and steals from another. But they have also shown me the joy that comes with viewing the earth and all of her creatures as my family.
The most powerful thing that my people have taught me is about the immense power of gratitude; through being thankful for every breath that I breathe and every drop of water that passes my lips I have found contentment. “ join us! Still some spots left! 🧡🌾

Now it is the time to be FULLY here in the discomfort and not knowing.

It is certainly not easy and it might feel like the best strategy is to retreat and surrender but I strongly feel that this is also a call for us to rise up, take more space and help each other to navigate through this. I sense a BIG healing and resurrection of the feminine ways. It’s been coming and now it is here.

We need to take a stand, if we can, and through that hold space for us all. For the retreats, for the upheavals, and everything in between for us all

I just CHANGED NAMES to a more appropriate one, more aligned with my intention with women’s work. I am so so MAD with inspiration at the moment to move masses, to teach how simple and slow is STRONG and how your worth is more than ANYTHING in this world to you and for everyone around you. When you move, EVERYTHING moves, so we must move with intention, power and bliss. And BLISS ain’t usually the by product of what you want, it’s what is needed. Hold on tight! Here we go!
