🥋🇨🇭 Sergei Judo Camp | 19–25 July 2026

Stefan spent a great week at Sergei Judo Camp in Fiesch, Switzerland, training alongside around 500 judokas from 25 countries.

The camp included high-level randori and technical sessions led by experienced coaches and accomplished judo athletes:

🥇 Udo Quellmalz – Olympic Champion (Atlanta 1996), World Champion
🥉 Sergei Aschwanden – Olympic bronze medallist (Beijing 2008), multiple European Championship medallist
🥈 Orkhan Safarov – World Championship silver medallist, European Championship medallist
🥋 Hiroshi Katanishi (8th Dan) – Kodokan instructor and experienced international judo coach

A week of hard training, quality randori and valuable experience in a strong judo environment. 🇨🇭🥋

🥋🇫🇮 Summer Nordic Judo Camp

Last weekend (10-12.07.2026), Stefan took part in the Summer Nordic Judo Camp in Pajulahti, training under the guidance of the Finnish National Team coaches.

A great weekend with quality randori and valuable preparation for the upcoming U18 competitions.

Stefan took part in the Yanagi Judo Camp in Joensuu, training under Olympic Champion Andreja Leški - one of the world’s top -63 kg judokas. Leški is the 2024 Olympic gold medalist, double World silver medalist (2021 Budapest & 2023 Doha), and 2023 European Champion.
A great opportunity to learn from one of the most accomplished judokas of her generation. 💪🔥

🇫🇮🥋 Nordic Champion — U18–50 kg!
Stefan takes gold, backed by mentor Pekki, the U18 National Team coaches, and his parents.
Strong day. Strong team. 💥

🥋🇵🇱 Same Judo Cup, Poland (9-10.05.2026) – Stefan brings home a bronze!

Stefan competed in two categories at the Same Judo Cup in Poland - one of the biggest international club tournaments around, with 1693 judokas from 23 countries and 160 clubs.

🥉 U16 -50kg
5th place - U18 -50kg

A strong double performance in a highly competitive field. The bronze in U16 -50kg came against 25 athletes.

🥋🇸🇮 Kranjska Gora Training Camp | April 25–30 – Stefan in Slovenia 🇫🇮

Stefan spent the past week in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, participating in an intensive international training camp. The event brought together top U16 and U18 athletes from across Europe for high-level randori and rigorous technical sessions. 👊

The week provided exactly the kind of international challenge Stefan needs as he continues to establish himself in the U18 category. Training with strong opponents from different countries allowed him to sharpen his skills, adapt to various fighting styles, and build further confidence on the mat.

Stefan returns home highly motivated and ready to carry this momentum into his upcoming competitions! 🚀

National Team camp in Pajulahti 04.2026

🥇 (U18-50) Sörmlandsträffen Cup, Sweden - 28.03.2026

Stefan took 1st place in his category and brought home the trophy.
After the competition he joined Tommi Maciac’s training camp.
Team Finland finished 3rd overall.
