Dotra Art Centre is closing its doors 💔🎈
After a couple of funding rejections I’ve decided that the project has come to its end. Hoping of course that there will be a new place, new space, parallel universe where a place like this could continue its work of showcasing art and dance in Umeå.

Dotra Art Centre was a two-year project with the intention of building a thriving arts community on a grass-root level open for all in UÅ ✨
The arts are facing difficult times, in times where we more than anything need to come together and create unconditionally. I give my deepest thanks to the artists that performed at RÅ, for DanceLab North/Danscentrum Norr who gave me the opportunity to teach flying low and passing through in this space, and for all the audiences that visited us and partied with us! 🥳😍
Thank you to the press/VK for covering several stories about this place, thank you Kulturföreningen Gräsrot and Sensus Musik Umeå for the support and encouragement. Thank you once again to the wonderful artists, including my partner Juvvá Pittja for supporting, building the floor, contributing your wonderful paintings to the space.

We are proud to invite the nomadic, performance group Humans & Soil back to our homestead in Umeå 12-16th of August! 👏🏽🌿
During 1 week, this group are developing a project series under the name ‘No Friend but the Mountains’ with performers with roots from all over the world; Norway/Sápmi, Sweden, Finland/Alaska and Mexico to research dance practice, music and visual arts from an Indigenous perspective.
