World Goth Day š¤š¦
It was never a phase! My alt style has always drawn from retro goth, punk, and hippie movements. Velvet, lace, chains, corsets, boots and shaved hair have been with me since I could pick my own clothes. Share your āit was never a phaseā pics yeah?

The Phantasmagoria exhibition at The Henry Moore Institute may be of interest to some folk here. It showcases emerging artists who have come together as a group to merge folklore and occultism, myths and traditions with the modern digital culture of social media, gaming and AI; finding common ground in the seemingly abstract concepts and creative aspects that are imbued in both.
This exhibition is small, and speaks of the great potential for inspiring other artworks; particularly ones which involve local folkloric and occult groups.
They also have some excellent literature on sale in their own gift shop (separate from the gift shop in ), including issues of the phenomenal and some more academic and political occult books.

Leeds Tarot Social are delighted to present our first online exclusive. Local occultist is releasing his debut album Hastur the Kingx featuring a song āThe Tarotā, and including images from by and we have managed to blag him into letting us hear it 3 days before it is released, with a discussion to boot.
āHastur the King is a one-man solo album from the UK metal sceneās Joel H Bulsara.
This is an exclusive first listen to the Doom metal album before its release - 29th May 2026.
The story focuses on a fictionalised story of The King in Yellow by RW Chambers, of an outer-world entity which sends people into a crazed frenzy when reading a Playscript.
From a twisted tarot reading to a bastardised version of Raphael, what was the reading experience and who is Hastur in terms of a Hermetic lens?
Weāre about to find out.ā
Leeds Tarot Social is FREE and all are welcome to join. We hope that the online socials will allow people from further afield to benefit from our small social. We do ask that if you are able, you consider leaving a voluntary tip for our expert speakers, to support them in continuing their niche research work.

Itās the right time of year for bouquet readings, also known as Floramancy. These are such beautiful, primal and intuitive way to read. Invoking the natural world in divination is an ancient art, and one which immediately seats the imagination (one of the most vital tools for reading), in a world of folklore.
Simply selecting one stem or flower you feel drawn to (either handpicked or bought is fine), and interpret it alongside the others. Is one more abundant, showing it being surrounded by others, does it stand out of fit in, is it wilted, or is it at its prime? Does it seem to feel soft, courageous, wild, dainty, delicate, ill, confident, regal?
Treat yourself to the opportunity to mindfully pick some flowers on a walk, or to buy a bouquet, and lemme know what your flowers speak to you!

Itās been a year since we adopted Solid Snake!
He is my 4th rescue snake, and my third python. He is by far the most intelligent & curious snake I have had, and seeks out enrichment, plays with his toys, and is really engaging. He challenges a lot of my expectations about snakes and how much cognition they have. Heās also the biggest royal Iāve had, at over 5ft! Most are around 2-4ft, so he really lives up to his name.
Snakes were a special interest of mine for years, but I was scared of them and I felt I wasnāt āallowed oneā because my family are also scared! I pushed past the fear when I got my first snake, Cider. Overcoming those barriers while allowing so much love in was a real journey. Cider was emaciated and needed so much love and attention, he taught me so much! All the snakes Iāve had bring a sense of stillness as soon as you hold them. You may know that Iām autistic and have an assistance dog, but sometimes dogs can be overstimulating.. snakes always bring a sense of peace and support my emotional regulation. Their movements are hypnotic, cool, smooth and grounding. Love this lil guy so much! š
