✅ When the tip of the shaft is too small for the head it will usually end up loosening as this one did.
✅ Care has to be taken to get the shaft centered so that the loft and lie aren’t affected.
✅ A better fit is achieved by “thickening” the epoxy with glass beads or sand or as in this case using a brass shim getting a better mechanical fit before epoxying.

✅ Most OEM irons have a 0.355” tapered bore which means you need the specific shaft for each iron.
✅ Shafts with a slightly wider 0,370” parallel tip are more versatile as the same shaft can be tipped depending on which iron it is being fitted to.
✅ The slightly wider tipp means that most heads have to be drilled or reamed out first.

✅ Playing in strong winds is of course always a challenge.
✅ When it comes to carry distance a head wind will always cost more distance than down wind gives.
✅ In cross winds for more distance from the tee try to ”ride” the wind and for control try to shape your shots against the wind.

✅ Join me for the last four holes at my home course Falsterbo.
✅ Two par 5s and two par 4s.
✅ Under most conditions I’m aiming to birdie the par 5s 15 and 18 as they are usually within reach in two shots.
✅ Holes 15 and 16 were into the wind when I played with 17 and 18 playing easier downwind.
✅ I hit 5 iron for a 160 meter shot on the 16th and the same club from 195 meters on 18. Typical for links courses.
