The HYROX Singapore event returned on Saturday following a sold out debut last year. Thousands of participants and their supporters flocked to the National Stadium for the fitness race comprising of eight sets of a 1km run and a functional workout station.
The next HYROX Singapore will take place at the Singapore Expo in August this year while HYROX country manager William Petty has hinted at bigger events to come including a regional championships.

The inaugural Singapore Open Virtual Taekwondo Championships ended with father and son duo Justin and Brian Peh winning the Individual Male and Masters Mixed categories respectively. Janelle Chia and Ma Bowen brought home the Individual Female and Junior Mixed titles, with podium finishers of this event standing a good chance to represent Singapore at the very first edition of the World Virtual Taekwondo Championships.
The inaugural World Virtual Taekwondo Championships will be held on 16 and 17 November 2024 right here in Singapore.

Cheered on by a raucous home crowd, Singapore’s 3x3 women’s team bowed out of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2024 with losses to China and Chinese Taipei.

“I can say that I’m proud that we have fans like this in Singapore. For me personally, I feel very emotional because I see all these people, how much they like basketball. This gives me motivation to give 200, 300 per cent of myself to this programme and we make them proud in the future and make them happy for us that we play well, fight well for this country,” said Lazar Rasic, Singapore Head Coach.
It’s all happening at Singapore Sports Hub, with Singapore’s men’s team in action against Iran (4.25pm) and China (6.55pm) today.

Asia’s largest youth football tournament is set to welcome the greatest number of teams in history – a record 500 registered teams from 16 nations will participate in the March 28-31 event held across five venues in Singapore. ⚽️

Fondly known as the Purple Army, Team Nila volunteers are a key fixture at any local sports event. 🟣
Sport Singapore has launched a new leadership programme to identify and groom potential leaders for Team Nila. The programme will provide training to equip suitable volunteers with the essential skills and competencies to lead in functions such as sport competition management, event logistics and manpower coordination. 🎓
The programme will help with the increased number of major sport events happening in Singapore, including the World Aquatics Championship in 2025 as well as the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games in 2029. 🏊
In 2023, about 5,500 Team Nila volunteers contributed close to 150,000 hours across 126 sporting and community events. Kudos and well done Team Nila ⏱️

: Singapore will host the 2025 World Para Swimming Championships, the first time the event is held in Asia. 🏊♀️
The championship is the highest-ranked swimming event outside the Paralympic Games. It will take place at the OCBC Aquatic Centre in Singapore Sports Hub from 3 to 9 Oct 2025. 🇸🇬
Swimmer is Singapore’s most decorated athlete at the World Para Swimming Championships.
She won two gold medals in each of the last three editions of the championships: In 2019, 2022 and 2023. 🥇

Singapore’s men’s and women’s 3x3 basketball teams will face off against powerhouses China in the Main Draw of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2024, with the draw setting up tantalising clashes for the home teams. 🇨🇳
After playing world No. 1 China on 29 March, the Singapore women will meet world No. 53 Chinese Taipei on the same day to round off their Pool A fixtures. The Singapore men’s team and world No. 4 China will be joined by qualifiers Chinese Taipei, Iran or Hong Kong, China to complete Pool A. 🏀

In a move geared towards optimising player readiness for the 2024–25 Singapore Premier League (SPL) season that will start in May, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) announces the introduction of an Interim Pre-Season Tournament. ⚽️
The tournament will run from 23 February to 21 April. The 2024-25 season will kick off on 4 May 2024. 🗓️

It was joy for Sweden and despair for Finland as Sweden defeated their neighbors 6-4 to retain the Women’s World Floorball Championships (WFC) for a record 9th time.
Sweden got off to a blistering start, bagging all 6 of their goals in the first period before Finland found their feet from the second period onwards. A late flurry saw the Finns score three in the final period but it was too little, too late as Sweden hung on for the win.
The next Championships will take place in the Czech Republic in 2025.

A gruelling tournament of 6 games in 8 days at the Women’s World Floorball Championships (WFC) 2023 has concluded for Singapore with a 1-13 defeat to Norway at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The gulf in class was just too big against their world ranked #7 European opponents and with the team running on empty, they managed to get at least a consolation goal from Siti Nurhaliza.
The match also saw veterans Amanda Yeap and Yun Shawn Yee play their last national team game, leaving the team in good hands as they improved from the previous tournament to finish in 12th place.

Japan defeated Singapore 4-3 in the playoffs for 9th to 12th place of the Women’s World Floorball Championships (WFC) 2023.
Both teams showed why they were the top two floorball nations in Asia with a high energy, end-to-end game despite a gruelling match schedule of almost a game everyday for the past week.
Japan will face off against Germany for 9th place on Friday 8pm while Singapore will face off against Norway for 11th place on Saturday 2pm.
