Last weekend, Team AVODAH’s Gerald Tan Zi Ping and Jeremiah Wong took the stage at Career Forward 2026, contributing to meaningful conversations around two questions many job seekers grapple with:

Together with fellow panelists Maybelle Lai, Vanessa Teo, Angel Kilian, Joanne Lau, and Nathaniel Fetalvero, the sessions unpacked practical strategies and real-world perspectives on navigating the job search journey—from positioning oneself effectively to responding with confidence in high-pressure interview scenarios.

It was encouraging to see both in-person and online attendees actively engaging, asking good relevant questions towards learning how to enhance their job search journeys.

Career Forward is in its 3rd year, supporting Singaporeans to navigate an increasingly complex and non-linear world of work. This year's theme is "𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿. 𝗜𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻" and the programme shifts from inspiration to practical application, with a curated line up focused on real-world skills, current workforce trends, and common career roadblocks.

Career Forward 2026 will be held on 28 and 29 March 2026, at Suntec Convention Centre, Halls 403 and 404. 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙁𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 @ 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙩

With more options of work to choose from, making a job choice can become stressful if we do not have the right decision making capacities.

This is a challenge for many young graduates and youth - to be able to confidently make a job choice.

Thanks to Workforce Singapore and South East Community Development Council (CDC), we had the opportunity to participate in the Youth Festival@South East, helping youth to learn how to make informed job choices. Our Projects Director Gerald Tan Zi Ping used Holland’s RIASEC codes - a trusted language of understanding self and the world of work - as a starting point for job decision making.

We are thankful to have met many young people still in school and in early career and we wish all of them a fruitful start to their career!

Resume writing is a pain! Thankfully there is AI! But wait….. how exactly can it help us create better resumes?

Team Avodah Gerald Tan Zi Ping, Aree Fooyontphanich (ACC, Ontological People Developer) and Jacqueline F. Yeung came together to support people from the community to learn how to utilise AI to create better resumes.

It’s not just about keyword matching and beautiful formats. It’s about relevance, and transferability and consistency.

We explored how AI can empower job seekers to craft targeted, compelling resumes — from optimising structure and clarity to showcasing strengths with confidence. 💡 It was inspiring to see so many participants of different AI literacy engage with AI, using different prompts for their resume crafting at Serangoon Library.

At AVODAH People Solutions , we believe in equipping individuals with practical skills that make career transitions clearer and more intentional. Events like this remind us why continuing to innovate and support career development matters so much — especially in a job market shaped by rapid tech shifts.

Entering work after graduation can be quite a transition, given the new environment of work and workplace dynamics.

Team Avodah Gerald Tan Zi Ping and Mylene Lee supported the healthcare sector in Singapore by helping new work entrants understand more about themselves, their thought patterns, reaction postures and how to collaborate and relate to others effectively at the workplace.

This was an extra meaningful endeavour for us, to contribute to the wellbeing and confidence of our newly minted healthcare professionals in Singapore. Helping the people helpers!🏥😷🩺🩻
