Congratulations to Brother Ng Chee Meng 黄志明 on your appointment to the Cabinet by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. Your appointment is a strong affirmation of the Labour Movement's important role in championing the voices and interests of workers across Singapore, including freelancers and self-employed professionals. At NICA, we are encouraged to see the interests of our community of freelance coaches and instructors represented. As the nature of work continues to evolve, it is vital that the concerns and aspirations of freelance coaches and instructors, including work security, professional recognition, skills development and fair work practices, remain part of national policy discussions. We look forward to continuing to work alongside the Labour Movement and our partners to strengthen support for our community and build a more sustainable future for every coach and instructor.

This 25 June, our delegates, advisors, trustees and invited observers came together for our annual Convention of Delegates 🤝

Beyond an update on NICA's progress as an association, NICA's yearly Convention of Delegates is a platform for our advisors to hear directly from delegates and observers about what's happening on the ground. This allows our NICA community to come together in support of each other and informs NICA on how we can better advocate for our members.

Thank you to Advisor Edward (Edward Chia Bing Hui 谢秉辉 ) and Advisor Denise Phua (Denise Phua Lay Peng) for your guidance, as well as our trustees, delegates and invited observers for your valuable input and unwavering support 🙌
