It is a pity that the run didnt go through. Be rest assured that we have did our utmost to convince the relavant parties to go ahead but the weather wasnt in our favour. Nonetheless, there were several happy moments captured during the event. Keep smiling and we'll continue to post them up. Keep a look out!
[Stronger Together] The announcement came like a bolt of lightning. "CAT 1! Everyone to seek shelter and stop all outdoor activity." With just 20 minutes left to event flag off, dark clouds gathered suddenly. Then the heavens poured onto us, with intensity and a lot of lightning. Our hearts sank.
Not for long though. 400 of us were there for an Inclusive Future for Persons With Intellectual Disabilities from MINDS. The CAT 1 status had cancelled our run and walk but not our will and spirit to celebrate Singapore's 57th birthday at Singapore Discovery Centre
The show had to go on. We danced to National Day songs. We showed solidarity and felt Stronger Together.
