What a perfect rainy morning to finish out my last PT session!

Jin, you are a champ. Soo Jin busted her foot at the end of last year, and we couldn’t finish her PT package in time.

So I am like, hey, I still have a few weeks left in January, where I can duck out from the chaos and get it done.

Thanks, Soo Jin, for riding it out to the very end.

OUR MOVING DAY IS ALMOST HERE!
I am so very excited for the future. I am beside myself for my children to experience the ENDLESS BLUE SKIES, the SOOTHING BIRD SONG with Jurassic overtones, and those hypnotising AUSTRALIAN HORIZONS.

I have so many plans and ideas swirling in my head for the next step. For the next chapter, I ENVISION an ONLINE SWEAT CO FORMAT, through an app or Zoom, as well as in person with ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING IN ADELAIDE.

I AM A BETTER HUMAN BECAUSE OF YOU SWEAT CO
Sweat Co, you have witnessed my growth, with all the ups and downs and lumps and bumps in between, as a business owner and fitness trainer. It hasn’t been smooth. I have learned I need to set firm boundaries, and I have also learned empathy as a trainer.

Communicating with empathy and understanding did not come naturally to me, I have had to work on it and LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES, and there have been many. I have discovered my limitations, that it’s not me, there is only so much I can do, and WHEN TO WALK AWAY from a situation, client, or colleague.

I AM SO PROUD OF SWEAT CO
Running Sweat Co has been a period of personal growth that I AM SO SERIOUSLY PROUD OF. I AM PROUD of the human I have become. I AM PROUD of the business owner I have learned to be, with all the hard decisions that come with this responsibility. I AM PROUD of the community we have built. I love that I can walk through my neighbourhood and I will see a Sweat Co member or one of their children or partners or fur babies, we will wave and stop for a chat while their fur baby gives me a WET LICK.

To walk away from this is not easy. The pull for a new chapter and the yearning for my Singapore-born Australian boys to experience something like my childhood growing up as a FREE-RANGE FERAL AUSSIE KID is too much.

I am going to miss you all so very much. I feel confident that I have done the best possible job in ensuring the SWEAT CO SPIRIT LIVES ON. Coach Felicia has got you covered, BURN SQUAD, you are ready to FEEL THE BURN.

About last night…

Someone just told me that sadly Sweat Co is closed, and the classes will not continue.

Wait! Whaaaat? Nooooooooo! Huh?

No way! I would never leave Sweat Co hanging for their sweat highs. I may be relocating to Adelaide soon and temporarily pausing Sweat Co as I settle my family into our new city. This does not mean the sweat stops flying for our die-hard sweat-loving community.

Sweat Co will re-open in Adelaide in a new format. Sweat Co, the community will still be thriving and sweating it out in Telok Kurau Park: under the guidance of Coach Felicia and her new fitnes community Burn Squad. The Burn Squad community is calling themselves Squadies, and I love this!

Coach Fel has been Sweat Co’s assistant coach for two years, and I am so proud that she is stepping into her boss lady trainers and heading up Burn Squad at Telok Kurau Park. Coach Fel has been by my side, steadfastly sticking with me, when I have been overworked and over-committed, offering to take on more classes so I can focus on PT. And always offering sensible pearls of wisdom and helping me see from all perspectives. Fel you have been my rock, and I am so grateful to have met you, we work so well together.

That could also be because you are so kind, putting up with all my finicky musical tastes, my stickler for form, don’t forget to offer modifications nags, all my many cues, and my border Gen X luddite tendencies.

Burn Squad, you are going take off under the guidance of this fabulous human. Coach Fel for the BURN!

That felt so awful, cancelling our very last Sweat Co session. It was such a sad and miserable way to end Sweat Co, both coaches out with a fever. Let’s try again.

One last Saturday coffee. For those back on the island, we will meet for coffee and breakfast at THE BREWING GROUND on the 6TH OF JANUARY.

The invite is to ALL OUR CLIENTS. Group classes and Personal Training clients, don’t be shy. CUDDLES FOR ALL.
