Salam everyone!
This Sunday, TFM will be going to a mosque in the north cluster and will be doing our Fajr at:
Omar Salmah Mosque
Fajr is set to be at 5.27am, so it’s advisable to be there 10-15mins earlier to ease into things.
After Fajr, we’ll group up before heading to our workout location nearby which is set at MacRitchie Reservoir Park. If you miss Fajr, do come down straight here!
Also, note that there will not be a TFM ladies session this week.

PS: At one glance, it looked like any other kampung house which is slowly becoming a rare sight in a city of concrete jungle. This old generation masjid built in 1973 can accommodate up to 300 worshippers. The rather isolated masjid in the Central zone and presently caters to Mediacorp staff nearby.

Salam everyone! Our November schedule is out! There will be only 4 sessions in November Mashallah so you can try to join us!
Alhamdullilah for another challenging month in October til we had to canceled one session unfortunately. But it’s alright, we managed to attend the others!
If you have the intention to join all these while but still have yet to do so, this November will be a good start! Try it out! It’s FREE!

PS: The masjid has been re-built as part of the Singapore Islamic Hub development and was opened to public in January 2009.
Masjid Muhajirin is the first masjid to be built under the Mosque Building Fund. Back then it was easily recognizable by its prominent dome and minaret at the entrance of the building. Sited next to the Islamic Centre of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore, it was completed in April 1977 with a capacity of 1400 people and serves Muslims of all ages living in Toa Payoh and Bishan.

PS: Built in 1920, the masjid is currently being restored to its original splendour. Named after the wealthy lady who donated $50000 in 1916 to build this masjid, restoration works was completed in 2001. The masjid located in the Central part of Singapore has a current capacity of 500 people.

PS: This mosque is the fifth one to be built under Phase III of the Mosque Building Fund programme to serve the needs of the Muslim community in the Northern part of Singapore. It also acts as a replacement due to the closure of two old mosques in the Sembawang area - Jumah Sembawang Mosque and Naval Base Mosque. The mosque which can accommodate about 4,000 people at one time was opened to the public on 9th April 2004.

PS: Redeveloped in 1985 on the same site as the old masjid, this three-storey cream structure can accommodate up to 2000 people. The first masjid was built in 1960. Today, the masjid in Central part of the island serves the needs of residents in Redhill, Tiong Bahru and Alexandra areas, besides the office workers at the nearby industrial estates.

PS: The one-storey generation masjid was built in 1957. Located in the East along a stretch of landed properties and low-rise private apartments. It is named after the renowned Islamic scholar, spiritual master, and author – Maulana Shah Muhammad Abdul Aleem Siddique, who dedicated his entire life preaching and propagating Islam in Singapore and around the world.

Al-Istiqamah Mosque

PS: At one glance, the masjid blends the architectural flavours of buildings in the Middle East, Nusantra and Mauritius. Its structure stands proudly amidst the housing estate in Serangoon. One of the newest masjids under the Mosque Building Fund, it was completed in May 1999 and can accommodate up to 3300 people at any given time.

PS: This old generation masjid sited next to Darul Lilbanat, a girls’ orphanage, was built in 1920. The masjid located in the Central part of the island has undergone several renovation, its most recent one in 1998, in which the prayer hall was extended to accommodate a larger congregation of 2,500 people. It serves the religious needs of the small Muslim residents in the area as well as office workers.

PS: Built in 1993, it is located in the West and is one of the pioneer masjids offering computer facilities to Muslims. It can accommodate up to 3,000 worshippers. The masjid prides itself for having an extensive library of Islamic literatures.
