If you dont want to spend the money on equipment or a gym membership, there are plenty of ways to target your muscles without either.
You may have heard of the notorious plank, but did you know about side planks? They're great for working out obliques, the muscles that run along your core and also some of the hardest muscles to tackle. You'll definitely feel the soreness after a couple of reps.

One of my clients doing concentration curls--you can see the look of concentration on his face too.
Fun fact: a recent study by the American Council on Exercise found that the seated concentration curl yielded 97% bicep activity in contrast to EZ-bar curls.
The sole reason why seated concentration curls prove most effective, is because youโre able to completely isolate your bicep muscle group in this exercise, hence the name "concentration curl."

This strange-looking machine is called a rowing machine. It's a total body workout that's good for people of all fitness levels to build power and endurance efficiently with low impact as compared to running or jogging on the treadmill. I like to have varieties in my warmup, and incorporating the rowing machine is one of them.

On this episode of , I've invested in a Theragun from ! This is a one-of-a-kind percussive massager, great for myofascial release, soreness from a workout or just muscle aches from sitting at the desk all day.
Unlike typical massagers which work by vibration, this massager will pound those sore spots away, perfect for those hard to reach knots and both pre- and post-workout routines.
I've been using a lacrosse ball for the longest time, but it's difficult to reach certain spots. With the ergonomic, patented design of the Theragun, I don't have that issue anymore. ๐

The chest fly (or pec deck) machine is often overlooked in the weight room because there are so many different ways to work the chest. But it is a great way for both beginners and those with experience to target the pectoralis muscles without worrying about the balance required for example the barbell or dumbbells. It's also a useful machine for those with lower body injuries who need to avoid standing.
