Every practice provides us with an opportunity to ‘polish’ our body and mind.

We get to decide what we want to discard - old habits, behaviours, thoughts, beliefs…

And we get to focus on what we want to work with - strength, mobility, fears, doubts…

It takes time to change your body and mind.
It takes courage to look within and face yourself amidst the discomfort.
It takes willingness to continue the practice when things don’t go your way.

Things happen.
Life happens.
And the practice will be there to support us as long as we are willing to keep ‘polishing’.

It’s not a one-off process, it requires long term dedication and commitment.

The practice is a marathon, not a sprint.

Keep polishing and sparkle!!!

Our primary teacher once said yoga is a bitter sweet process. First it gives you pain, then comes the pleasure.

The practice will make us uncomfortable at first but gradually gets better with time & practice.

This process keeps repeating as we learn new poses and explore unfamiliar sensations in our bodies.

As our bodies get ‘stretched’, so does our minds. Soon the discomfort will become part of our comfort zone through constant repetition.

The practice / pose is merely a tool. It’s WHO we become that matters.

The practice is a reflection of who we are. How we approach the practice is how we are in life.

What we carry within / emotions throughout the day, the practice shows. What we focus on, the practice magnifies.

The body doesn’t lie, the mind does. The practice is always revealing to us who we are.

Every practice provides us with an opportunity to change. To break the patterns and habits that are no longer serving us.

The choice is always ours.

Keep practicing. Keep polishing.

Gubir has come a long way, building her practice almost from scratch. The phrase “I crawl to my yoga mat” humorously captures her journey. 🦎

Regardless of the internal weather she’s experiencing, she gets through her practice—one pose at a time—with grace. From wobbly arms and legs to the stability she has now attained, bravo!😉

Fun(d) Raising & Sun Salutations Challenge

📌8.30am-9.30am OR 9.30am-10.30am

🥨10.30am onwards: Gather & Be Merry (light snacks & finger food)

How it works:
1. Pledge the number of Sun Salutations (A or B) that you wish to complete in ONE hour.

2. Every Sun Salutation equates to $1 donation to and will match dollar 💵 to dollar 💵

3. You can also nominate or pledge the amount for your friend to do the Sun Salutation on your behalf.👉🏻👥
