Singapore ended its Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers campaign with a 1-0 win over Bangladesh, topping Group C unbeaten. Harhys Stewart scored the winning goal just after the half hour in the first half. Both teams had their fair share of attack with Bangladesh coming close to equalizing in the closing minutes of the match. Singapore now awaits the Asian Cup 2027 tournament draw to find out who will be its opponents in the group stage.

Two goals by Hami Syahin and Anderson Lopes deep into extra time gave Lion City Sailors its first trophy in 2026. The Sailors beat BG Tampines Rovers 2-0 to clinch the Singapore Cup.

BG Tampines Rovers goes top of Group A in the Shopee Cup after beating BG Pathum United 3-2 in third round of group matches. A hat-trick by Hide Higashikawa sealed the win for the home team after being two-nil down at one point in the first half. The Stags will host Buriram United in the next group match in January 2026.

A goal in the last minute of regular time puts Singapore in a tougher position to qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup as it drew with India 1-1 in the first of the double header in Group C. Singapore went one nil up at half-time with the goal from Ikhsan Fandi. With India down to ten men early in the second half, Singapore could not make the numerical advantage count as India punished the Lions with the last minute goal from Rahim Ali. Both teams meet again on 14 Oct 2025 in Goa, India.

The inaugural Soccer7sSeries came to Singapore on the weekend of
25-27 July 2025. Held at the Jalan Besar Stadium, 36 teams competed to become inaugural champions in 3 categories, Men's Open, Women's and Masters.
Shanghai Shenhua Women (China) topped the Women's category, Leicester City (England) were the Masters' champion and Coventry City (England) were the Men's Open champions after beating Brazil's Corinthians in the final.

Lion City Sailors' quest for their first ever continental success ended in a heartbreak as Sharjah FC's Marcos Meloni's goal deep into injury time handed the UAE outfit the AFC Champions League Two title, in a pulsating match at the Bishan Stadium. Sailor's hope were lifted when Maxime Lestienne levelled the score at 1-1 with ten minutes of injury time left. Sharjah FC's Mohamed Firas Ben Al Arbi scored the opener in the 74th minute. This is Sharjah FC's first continental title.

Lion City Sailors and Sharjah FC are all set to face each other tomorrow in the final of AFC Champions League Two. Both teams held their press conferences at Bishan Stadium. Sharjah FC held their last training session at Bishan Stadium while the Sailors held theirs at the Lion City Sailors Training Centre.

Fans of Arsenal, AC Milan and Newcastle United will be in for a treat come July when their teams will face one another in the Singapore Festival of Football. Former stars Shay Given (Newcastle), Bacary Sagna (Arsenal) and Serginho (AC Milan) were present at the press launch speaking on their experiences as a club and an international player.
Arsenal take on AC Milan on 23 July followed by Newcastle United on 27 July.
