Little Jerome came back from a fun run but with an impressive result of 22min48s in the 5km run! This little boy has too much potential!

Coach Daryl has been helping Jerome in his strength and conditioning training and has prepared well for this spectacular result in the Gold Coast Marathon !

The principle of specificity states that sports training should be relevant and appropriate to the sport for which the individual is training in order to produce the desired effect. Additionally, training should progress from general conditioning to specific training for the particular skills required in that sport or activity.

The bowlers of .tiac are currently going through general conditioning to get stronger and fitter for their event.

Soccer atheletes use their lower body very often and such strenous activites may result in these common injuries.

Here's a little more information regarding these injuries:

𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀
A sprain occurs when you overextend or tear a ligament while severely stressing a joint. It may happen during day-to-day activities as well.
Sprains often occur in the following circumstances:
Ankle — Walking or exercising on an uneven surface, landing awkwardly from a jump
Knee — Pivoting during an athletic activity

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀
A strain is an injury to a tendon. It can range from a mild to extreme strain. The tendon may have a partial or complete tear.

𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀/𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗿
A torn meniscus is one of the most common knee injuries. Any activity that causes you to forcefully twist or rotate your knee, especially when putting your full weight on it, can lead to a torn meniscus.

𝗔𝗖𝗟 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻
A typical ACL injury occurs when the knee buckles in toward the middle, can possibly be associated with a popping sound, and frequently occurs during a non-contact activity.

Rehabilitation can do wonders for injured clients.

During the period of injury, you may lose the flexibility you had before getting injured. This is usually due to the lack of mobility.

During your rehabilitation sesssion, our Rehab Specialist will go through the exercises for you to gain your range of motion and strengthening your muscles. 🥰
