Posture/flexibility is not permanent with us but knowledge is always permanent if it's comes to you once it always grow more and more and never dim.
Alignment is important always. Its better to do pose with correct alignment rather doing deep stretch with wrong alignment.
Yoga is not all about flexibility, it's about being healthy and positive or more energetic. Be Aware be humble and gentle with yourself in asana practice. Everyone has different body, energy level and different flexibility so never compare own self with any others. Listen to your body. flexibility comes naturally by practice not by force.
