Comfortable is overrated.

The zercher squat is not the most conventional way to hold a barbell.

But with the load in front, you have to stay braced, keep the torso controlled and earn every rep.

Good training does not always look comfortable.

Good coaching is in the details.

It is easy to see the weight. It is harder to see everything happening around it.

Position. Range. Tempo. Control.

A good coach knows when to adjust, when to cue, and when to let the member do the work.

Here is one of our OGs, Pei Wen.

She joined with no weight-training experience and plenty of reasons to be cautious, years of injuries, weight gain and feeling intimidated by gyms.

Eight weeks later, she had become stronger, dropped two dress sizes, and surprised herself with what she could do.

The real win was not simply changing how she looked. It was discovering what she was capable of.

Your level. Your variation.

He is working through parallel bar dips. An advanced body weight movement designed to target the chest and triceps.

Behind him, she is working through bench dips. A beginner-intermediate body weight movement targeting the exact same muscles.

Training is not about everyone doing the same exercise. It is about finding the right variation, then progressing from there.

Wherever you’re starting, we’ve got you covered.

A curl. A press. An overhead triceps extension.

Complex movements are not about making an exercise look complicated. They are about controlling each position, maintaining good mechanics, and moving with intent.

That is where coaching matters. The coach is there to ensure control of the movement, not just count the reps.

Nidhi had tried to stay consistent before. This time, she had structure.

A programme that gave her direction. Coaches who pushed her. And a community that made showing up feel a little less like a negotiation with herself.

The result: 6kg lost, 4% body fat down, and a squat that doubled in just three months.

Procrastination is easy.
Progress usually starts with simply showing up.

Sleeves are optional.

Good technique is not.

Keep the elbows steady, control the cable, and let the triceps earn their keep.

Arm day, with fewer distractions.

The face pull is not a competition with the cable stack.

Set it up right. Keep the elbows high. Pull towards the face. Rotate with control.

If your whole body has to join in, the weight is too heavy. Adjust accordingly.

Two kids. A full-time HR career. Twenty years of lower back problems.

Alicia decided it was time to prioritise strength.

Now she trains 5 to 6 times a week, with coaches who pay attention to the details and know when to push.

70kg deadlift from 20kg.
Body fat down from 32% to 24-25%.

Her advice is simple: strengthen your body.
