USMNT conducts friendly World Cup preparations with Morocco
The upcoming USMNT friendly against Morocco begins preparations for the 2022 World Cup.
In a normal World Cup year, there are specific roles in late May and early June. The national team announced the lineup, made last-minute preparations and sent both sides away in a series of send-offs. This year, the World Cup is held in Qatar. The sweltering summer has pushed the games back to November and December.
So May and June are still friendly games. However, managers are concerned about who will end up on the World Cup squad. That's the case with the USMNT as they prepare for four games. This set of fixtures marks the United States' last home game before the World Cup. The first of these games is against Morocco
