SUSTAINABLE PROGRESSION WITH WORK-LIFE BALANCE

"During the Covid-19 circuit breaker, while I kept up my exercising schedule (around 3 days a week), I realized I was still gaining weight and felt the need for help from a professional. I checked around and decided to proceed with Han – he was patient enough to explain how the program would work even before I had signed up. I also realized that I needed to build muscle mass which was not possible by just running.

Han is very much invested in the overall fitness journey – and he will drive you hard towards your goal, be it during the one-on-one sessions or the overall meal plan. His only expectation from me was to put in an honest effort and have open communication with him. This helps him in fine-tuning the approach.

Working with Han has drilled a safety-first approach while exercising – be it running or doing weights in the gymnasium. He makes sure we understand that exercising with the right technique is more important that number of reps we achieve if we want to have a sustainable approach to fitness.

What surprised me the most was just how much can be achieved by taking a disciplined approach towards fitness – both in terms of exercise routine and diet. There was no need to drastically change what I was eating, but portion control was the key - as one cannot outrun/out exercise what we eat.

LOST 13KG AFTER 3-MONTH PROGRAMME!

Before heavily CGI-ed (Computer Generated Imagery) Superheroes Blockbusters rule the movie charts, actors actually had to undergo body transformations to prepare for their movie characters. REDUCE FOOD WASTE and NOT RESIST the STARCH!

With all Eating At Home due to the Covid-19 situation, let's hit two birds with a stone by reducing food waste by not discarding leftover rice, beans, potatoes, pasta etc. Store them in the chiller and reap the benefits of resistant starch!

Aside from the Type 3 featured in the image, here are the rest:-

Type 1: Bound within the fibrous cell walls of certain foods such as whole-grain foods, seeds, nuts and legumes.

Type 2: Certain raw foods and goes away when heated; such as green bananas, high-amylose corn, basmati rice and raw potatoes.

Type 4: Synthetic form that’s chemically modified and you pay for them in supplements.
