Dear sisters...

A beautiful & meaningful weekend afternoon with good company. We did a 3-hour long kiirtan and meditation led by Didi Ananda Chittprabha, followed by satsaunga and dinner.
Quoted "KiirtanΒ is the singing of a mantra aloud while ideating on the Supreme Being. It inculcates the feeling of bliss and prepares the mind for meditation, because in performing it all the motor and sensory organs are engaged and directed towards the Supreme. It can be done anywhere, any time, but the best time is just before meditation."

We have Didi Ananda Chittprabha, our spiritual teacher from India, this weekend to guide us in meditation and converse with us about various topics on spirituality. Come join us!

Sattvic food is essential in yoga practice because it aligns with the concept of sattva, one of the three gunas or qualities of nature in yogic philosophy. Sattva represents purity, harmony, and balance. Sattvic foods are those that are fresh, light, easily digestible, and nourishing, such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and dairy products.
Consuming sattvic food promotes a clear and calm mind, which is essential for yoga practice. Such foods are thought to increase mental clarity, spiritual awareness, and a sense of overall well-being. By choosing sattvic food, practitioners aim to maintain physical health while fostering a peaceful and balanced state of mind, supporting their yoga journey towards self-realization and higher consciousness. π§ββοΈπͺ·π§ββοΈ
