In traditional Muay Thai, the armband is called a Pra Jiad.
Long ago, it was made from a piece of cloth belonging to someone the fighter loved. They wore it into battle as a symbol of protection, courage and the hope of returning home safely.
At Encore, our armband carries that same spirit of love and protection.
It is awarded to our girls who have trained with us for more than three years. It represents their discipline, strength, loyalty and all the battles they have overcome within themselves.
Some may ask why we don’t send our girls for fights or matches.
It has always been my motto that I don’t need them to enter a ring and get hurt just to prove that they are strong.
Because they are not just members to me. They are my family.
This armband doesn’t mean that you are ready to fight someone.
It means you stayed.
You grew.
You became stronger.
And you will always have a family here protecting you.
Wear it with pride, my girls. You have earned it. ❤️🥊
