SCC Football Section

Tonight it started ! If you want to compete at the highest level and compete with the best then you need to get fit and prove yourself !! SCC started the long journey of building their squads for the legendary HONG Kong 7s - THE sevens tournament in Asia. The competitive section started their trials and training tonight and we wish them well

PROUD! PROUD! PROUD!
This weekend saw our teams competing at the highest level at the RBSC 7s in Bangkok.

The SFL in their first tournament finished runners up in the OPEN Final losing in a competitive final to RBSC 1.

The TIGERS fought bravely in the OPEN alongside the SFL and also finished as runners up in the PLATE Final.

Our VETERANS competed in a very strong MASTERS Section (40 years and over ) with a team from 50-60+ years old and finished in the top ten.

A MASSIVE Congratulations to the teams coaches and Managers !

A Great Boxing Day yesterday on the hallowed Padang. The first Ground Keepers Cup in memory of our beloved groundskeepers Shah and Rahman was played for between football section members. A great game ended in a 10-9 win for Rahmans Raiders led by Bruce Loggie over the Shahs Stars. Wonderful to see Lina and the family there to present the cup. We must be grateful for all those that provide us the best pitch in SE Asia to play our beloved game on!

Just had our wonderful YFH boys here for lunch at SCC and a tour of the Club and facilities. A fun lunch and we presented them with SCC Caps which they loved!! Rose a staff member made a very generous personal presentation to the boys which was warmly received and a wonderful gesture.

This is what life and sport is all about , relationships and giving back….

Congratulations to our NFL Men’s team for finishing Runner-Up in the Open Plate Category.

And Champions of the Women’s Category, SCC Women’s NFL Team A! Big milestone for our Women’s team.

Well done to both teams for keep the SCC flag flying high.

SCC Academy played Chelsea FC IDG this morning in a friendly at UWC East.

Kids had fun in the round robin format between four teams.

Well done SCC Academy on their first official friendly. Next, SCC 7s.

BREAKING NEWS:
With tradition, we have always had an Ambassador for the SCC Soccer 7's, and for this 28th edition, we are excited to announce our Ambassador for 2022 is Dietar Hamann.

This Ex-German International (World Cup Runner-Up), has also played for Bayern Munich, Newcastle, Manchester city and most notably Liverpool, winning the the 2005 Champions League.

Didi will be not only playing in the tournament, but he will be conducting a kids clinic, a public Meet & Greet on Sat & Sun at 1pm-130pm, and attend a Gala Dinner (more details soon)where he will be in the spotlight being asked about his career highlights. He will also be autograping memorabilia and auctioning it off for our CSR program with the under-priviledge kids.

SCC Academy!

Join is every Tuesday evenungs at Dempsey or Sunday mornings at Padang.

SCC TIgers good start to the season continues with a win the the second Cup game last Saturday. A convincing 3-1 win over the Honey Badgers pushes them to joint top leader in their group.

TIgers will play their final group game next Saturday 5pm at Dempsey. A win and more goals will determine the group champion.
