Iconic steel folding bicycle on an iconic steel pedestrian bridge. The Brompton folding bicycle was invented by Andrew Ritchie back in 1975. Today, it is an essential item in every household for its versatility not just as a leisure bike, but also a durable mode of transport or a utility bike. The Helix Bridge in Singapore was built 2010, and is the longest pedestrian bridge here at 280m. A must to stop by here for photos if you are visiting Singapore!

Sandpaper Vine (Petrea volubilis) in full bloom on top of a sheltered walkway near to Commonwealth MRT Station. Why is it called “Sandpaper Vine”? Because its leaves have a rough texture and feel EXACTLY like sandpaper! How interesting! If you chance upon any of these, go feel its leaves!

Sunset Hibiscus (Abelmoschus manihot). Huge, bell-shaped, pale-yellow, around 10-12cm in diameter. In Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, the leaves are cooked as vegetables. In India, the leaves are also used to treat chronic bronchitis. These are now in bloom along the Rail Corridor!
