Racing the Ocean are the F1 in Schools Portuguese National Champions of 2011. Teams must also present a portfolio with their work, designs and project.
Basically, the F1 in Schools Technology Challenge is a multi-disciplinary, worldwide competition in which teams of students aged 9 to 19 deploy CAD/CAM software to collaborate, design, analyze, manufacture, test, and then race a miniature C02 powered balsa wood F1 car. Moreover, participants are encouraged to find sponsors to help them with their work and support their costs. It is a very challenging competition, as it requires lots of work, dedication and research from all its contestants.
