Congratulations to Yu Yang, Yu Feng, Cayden, and Nathan who took part in today’s Jagsport Invitational Championship!

Nathan and Yu Yang won silver, and Cayden won bronze. It was a great experience for all of them. 🥳

We were glad to host the Sabah SUKMA (Malaysia’s national multi-sport games) Judo Team last week for two joint training sessions at SJC.

We were honoured to welcome Sensei Jang (), a renowned international coach, former Korean national team member, and Adidas Judo Global Ambassador. With a global following of over 100K+, his influence in the judo community is undeniable.

During the masterclass, Sensei Jang generously shared his dynamic judo style and experience at the highest levels of the sport, giving our members valuable perspectives. An honour to learn from a true master.

Sharing the 4 part playlist from the masterclass by Sensei Low Chee Kiang (7th Dan) at the Singapore Judo The Singapore Judo Club (Since 1954) on 1st March 2026.

We were honoured to welcome Sensei Low back to the dojo following his retirement after 53 years in Judo. A long-time SJC member since the 1960s and one of Singapore’s most decorated Judokas, this was a rare opportunity for our members to learn from a true pioneer of the sport.

Beyond his achievements, Sensei Low generously shared his knowledge, technique, and philosophy with the club - making this session both meaningful and inspiring.

Last weekend, SJC members and friends came together to support the Singapore Cancer Society at Relay For Life race.

Proud to share that Team Hajimei and Team SJC each clocked over 100km on the track - every step a show of solidarity with cancer survivors, caregivers, and families.

Grateful for the energy, teamwork, and heart from everyone who took part. 💜

We were honoured to welcome Sensei Low Chee Kiang (7th Dan), one of Singapore’s most decorated judokas and a long-time member of Singapore Judo Club since the 1960s, for a special masterclass this morning. Having recently retired after 53 years of dedication to Judo, Sensei Low returned to Singapore to share his knowledge and experience with our members.

A dominant competitor in the 70s and 80s, he amassed 24 Gold Medals at National & Pesta Sukan championships and is a multiple medalist at the SEAP and SEA Games. He also served as Head Coach of the Singapore National Team from 2013–2018, and coached Raffles Institution for 43 years, building a strong and lasting foundation for the school’s Judo programme.

A heartfelt thank you to Sensei Low for returning to share your legacy and wisdom with the SJC family.

Our Judokas competed at the Cempaka Putih Judo Open 2025 in Jakarta over the weekend and put in solid performances across their respective categories.

Samuel and Tabitha both brought home silver medals after a strong series of matches. Nathan and Cayden also performed well, finishing 5th in their divisions.

Well done to all four athletes for their hard work, commitment, and for representing the team with pride on the international stage.

We were incredibly privileged to host our dear friend and Judo legend, Prof. Jeon Ki Young for this masterclass. It was a rare opportunity to learn from one of the greats, and the energy on the mat clearly reflected how meaningful the session was for our members.

Prof. Jeon generously shared his time, knowledge, and warmth with the community, making this masterclass both inspiring and memorable. An honour to learn from a true champion and celebrate the spirit of judo together.
