1. Special materials:
The manufacture of ski/ snowboard apparel is based on the logical assumption that the person wearing them is actively moving, i.e. either skiing or snowboarding. Therefore, the emphasis is placed on functional materials, which will not just provide excellent insulation/ waterproofing qualities but also breathability. It is also expected that the wearer will sometimes fall on the ground/ snow, so ski/snowboard outerwear is made of stronger materials and have reinforced seams to prevent rapid wear and tear.

2. Air vents with mesh:
These are usually found on some outerwear at underarms/ inner thigh areas. Your active young one can get quite hot and sweaty when skiing/ snowboarding out on the slopes, so this feature will help to improve ventilation and comfort. That is why one of the most important features for ski/ snowboard outerwear is breathability. The mesh used on these outerwear are also specially made to prevent snow from getting inside.

3. Wider/ adjustable jacket wrist cuffs/ wrist gaiters:
These allow the wearer to tuck the ends of mittens/ gloves into their cuffs to prevent snow/ cold air from getting in. Wrist gaiters are an additional inner layer that prevents snow from getting in even if their sleeves slide up.

4. Jacket powder skirt/ Trouser leg gaiters:
Powder skirts prevent snow from getting into your jacket from the bottom, in case you fall into a big pile of snow (as beginners often do!) or when riding powder and the snow sprays upwards. Leg gaiters are an inner lining with an elasticated cuff that wrap over your boots to prevent snow from entering via the pant leg. Some trousers even have a boot hook or clip for you to fasten your laces for extra security.

5. Big zippers and velcro pockets:
These are to facilitate easy access, even when your young one is wearing mittens/ gloves. Delicate zippers or tiny buttons just will not do. At Kids Ski Co, your satisfaction is always our priority. That is why we allow our customers to do size exchanges (subject to availability)* and returns*! (Size exchanges/ returns is limited to 1 time for the same item. There will be no exchange to a different item)

* Qualifying conditions for exchanges/ returns:
1) Unwashed
2) Secured tags and packaging intact
3) Unaltered
4) Undamaged

Note: We reserve the right to refuse any size exchange or return if the item does not meet the above conditions. Please note that postage fees for mailing back the item(s) will be at customer's own costs and all items have to be mailed back within ten (10) days from the date of purchase. What are the procedures for exchanges/ returns?

In your e-mail, please also provide the following information:
(i) Order ID
(ii) Item to be returned for exchange: Reference Number, Size & Colour
(iii) Item to be exchanged to: Item Name, Reference Number, Size & Colour

Upon receiving your e-mail, our customer service will check for stock availability and reply accordingly within two (2) working days.

2. Returns

On the Return Form enclosed with your order, please fill in the details for your return and follow the instructions for the return accordingly (as stated on the reverse of the Return Form). Kindly note that merchandise refund will be in the form of credit voucher with a 30-day validity (from the date of issue as stated on the credit voucher and is non-extendible). This credit voucher can be used for any item in our online store. The process will take about ten (10) working days from the day you mail out the parcel. Upon receiving and checking that the item(s) received are in good condition, your credit voucher will be sent to you via e-mail. Please note that no cash refunds for returns are allowed.
