A few behind-the-scenes moments from May ✹

Sometimes life moves so quickly that you don’t stop to realise just how much has happened.

How productive you’ve been.‹How many challenges you’ve navigated.‹How many small promises you’ve kept to yourself.

Looking back, May was one of the most exciting months so far for NJW. New partnerships, new clients, new opportunities and lots of work happening behind the scenes to continue improving the coaching experience for the women I support.

But alongside the business growth was real life too.
Being a wife.‹Being a mum.‹Looking after my own health.‹Maintaining friendships.‹Trying to be present for all the things that matter.

And what I’ve realised is that there is no such thing as perfect balance.

There will always be seasons where one area needs a little more attention than another.

What matters most is continuing to show up, because it always adds up!
A workout instead of no workout.‹A nutritious meal instead of perfection.‹A 10-minute walk instead of sitting still.‹A small step forward instead of waiting for the perfect time.

The biggest lesson I continue to learn (and teach) is this:

When you prioritise your health, everything else feels easier.
You have more energy.‹More resilience.‹More patience.‹More capacity to show up for the people and things you care about.

And that’s why I believe looking after yourself is never selfish, it’s foundational.

I see this SO much! Women trying to follow plans that are clearly not going to last longer than a few months - if that!

And when something doesn’t fit your routine, of course it won’t stick.

You may notice a few results, a drop on the scale, but these are also short term.

So you start again. And again. And again.
You might question your discipline, but discipline is far easier when you have structure - and confidence in knowing that your efforts will lead to change, to better body composition, to strength and fat loss, and to results that last.

Lasting body composition change doesn’t come from doing more, It comes from doing what you can repeat, week in, week out.

✔ on busy days
✔ on low energy days
✔ when life isn’t “perfect”

That doesn’t mean lengthy exhausting workouts. You’d be surprised how a 15 minute strategic strength session can be so much more effective đŸ€©

When you can stay consistent, that’s where your body finally starts to change. You won’t notice it straight away - this is not a quick fix for a holiday - but it is the solution to keep you feeling strong, in control and loving your body for life. End the yo-yo workout / diet culture đŸ™ŒđŸ»

Stubborn belly fat is one of the biggest frustrations I hear from women.

And I get it, when something promises to “target” it, it’s tempting to try.

But lymphatic detox isn’t the answer and here’s why


It might make you feel less bloated or look a little flatter short-term. BUT! It is not reducing body fat, so your results will only be temporary and this doesn’t solve your frustration.

Your body loses fat from everywhere, just at different speeds. And the area you store more fat are usually the last place you’ll notice change.

That doesn’t mean it’s not working, it just means you need to stay consistent long enough.

This is where most women give up too early!

If your goal is to feel leaner, stronger, and more confident in your body then PLEASE focus on the basics that do work, when you commit yourself fully:

1. Plan your meals around lean protein & high volume foods
2. A small calorie deficit of 10-15 %
3. Strength training to muscle failure
4. Daily movement
5. Early nights over doom scrolling or watching TV 😮

It’s not a quick fix. But it does work đŸ«¶

4 reasons why a walking pad is my best health investment yet, especially if you’re a mum who’s working full time, struggling to move your body enough in daily life âŹ‡ïž

If this is you (hi busy mummađŸ‘‹đŸ» ) - you need efficiency and effectiveness.

A walking pad is one of the easiest ways to move more without needing extra time đŸ™ŒđŸ»

And it’s SO much more than just ‘burning calories’.

1. You’ll be less sedentary therefore less risk of pain from issues like tight hamstrings, weak glutes, poor core stability & strength.

2. There is A LOT of research to support that moving your body stimulates a part of your brain that improves memory, decision making and a better sense of clarity! So you’re working more effectively too!

3. It might sound counterintuitive, but moving your body more actually increases your energy. More movement → more mitochondria in your body’s cells (responsible for converting food into energy) → your body is more efficient at producing energy! Voila!

4. If you have more energy, you’re likely to move your body more in everyday life. And this daily movement contributes A LOT more to your total daily energy expenditure, and body composition change (fat loss), than any of your workouts.

Sorry ladies, but strength training doesn’t boost your metabolism in the way you think.
