Hi everyone please take a minute to read our new race terms and conditions that we are implementing for safety reasons

All paddlers are required to check in so that the organisers know which paddlers are on the water
Less experienced and guest paddlers should identify themselves to organisers at check in and should only race if they are comfortable to complete the course.

Any paddler failing to check in will be marked DNS (Did Not Start)

All paddlers are required to read and understand the course map
Any paddler failing to follow the course will be marked DQ (Disqualified)

All paddlers are required to sign out after the race so the organisers know that everyone has returned safely
Any paddler failing to sign out will be marked DNF (Did Not Finish)

All paddlers are required to wear a high-vis shirt and or cap.
All paddlers are required to WEAR a life vest/PFD.
All paddlers are required to carry a phone or VHF radio and pea-less whistle
Paddlers should practise using their phone or radio in or on the water and note the following numbers and channels

Police Coast Guard - VHF channel 07
MPA Marine Safety Control - VHF channel 07
SORS Race Management - VHF channel 71
Police Coast Guard - 999
MPA Marine Safety Control - 63252488

It is the duty of every paddler to look out for and render assistance to on another

Also we will be trialling LIVE LOCATION TRACKING
Paddlers will be invited to join a WhatsApp chat group
and asked to share their live location and then carry their phone on the boat during the race.
The chat will be used only to track racers and deleted as soon as the race is finished.

Have your boat rigged and ready to head out for start after race briefing at 7.30am

Please note all paddlers are now required to

WEAR hi-vis shirt and/or cap
WEAR a life vest or PFD
CARRY a phone or VHF radio
CARRY a whistle

NO exceptions and you will need to check in wearing your life vest/PFD before the briefing.

HI everyone
Below is the course for SORS 2 2022 tomorrow, Sunday, 22nd May

For those already signed up, there will be 3 start waves

1. 7.30am Women OC1 and all SUP
2. 7.37am Men OC1, V1 and mixed OC2
3. 7.45am Surfski

All paddlers must wear a hi-vis shirt and carry a life vest/PFD

Start line is outside the blue barrels at Palawan

Finish line is the beach at Ola - please call out your name when you finish to help our timer
